Re: Beer Money Thread - Make A Extra Quid Online -Latest Post - £375 Bank Switch Offers!

*Updated Feb 15th 2024
Works been a bit slow lately and I've had a lot of free time on my hands looking into quick easy ways to add a few coins into my pocket that pays for lunch or a beer after work with the team.

There's a few websites out there to help but I figured if anyone was interested I'd collate some of the offers I've used for people to look at if they wanted to take advantage of it, and hopefully other people will post too.

I think eventually it would be great if we had a few referrals from each other and great offers but I'm cautious of the thread just becoming a huge spam for codes and such so will see how it goes. I'll try and put details and expiry dates on, and for me it shouldn't involve spending £10's/£100's to get something back which I see regularly on Reddit and such.

That's not really easy or Beer Money to me. It should be quick to do and cost £0 or £1-£5 and guarantee a return of more than that.

If you have any other offers to add please feel free, or if it is something you'd like in the main post just drop me a message.

Cashback & Points

Quidco

I flip between Quidco and Nectar quite a lot. Quidco gives you cash back on many websites such as Boots, Asos..etc. and they'll price match if you find cash back better anywhere else. It's free to join.

https://www.quidco.com/

Nectar

If you shop at Sainsburys or have a local Sainsburys you pop into this is a no brainer, I regularly get tailored offers on my app to the products me and my partner buy each week which is great. Sometimes it can be an extra 100-300 points per item! It's been a bit worse lately but they do regular special deals such as a nectar slot machine and such to win more points.

You can also collect points at a wide range of shops, sometimes for 2/4x the normal number online at places like Ebay/Cafe Nero/Asos/Vue/Very/Dominos/Currys/JD/Nike/Argos (regularly offering triple points), Made...etc..

I personally feel I get more from this than Clubcard but depends on where you shop and such. You can spend your points at various sites and Sainburys. 500 points =£2.50

https://www.nectar.com

Survey Sites
YouGov
YouGov Surveys - around £50 every 6 months; or you can forgo that and enter a prize draw to win larger sums.
YouGov Safe - again around about £100 a year, but it involves installing an Extension onto Chrome. You can then choose to send them your viewing information every week for Netflix, Amazon Prime, YouTube, AppleTV, Disney+ or Spotify; and your entire shopping history for Amazon.
Thanks KK!
Instructions:

Prolific

Its an academic/university research site so the pay is pretty good maybe about £50.00 a month if you get selected enough and can fill out the surveys. Some of it is scientific other just public opinion, and they can take minutes to hours but it's quite varied. Your money is paid via PayPal and I think the min work per hour is $6.50.

I don’t get that Curve one, when you spend online does it come from your normal bank account or is curve like a credit card you have to pay back what you spend?

Sorry I should have explained it basically is like a wrapper for your cards.

So you select what card to use it for. So I had it with a debit card - then you use the curve card which has its own number and security code.

Ahh ok, it confused me as I signed up for it, looked at the account and it mentioned a £2000 credit limit so I wasn’t sure, I guess that’s the max limit you can use the curve card for and anything higher you need your actually bank card?

So I signed up using that get deal button on Hotdeals (clicking the button took me straight to the App Store to download the app, is that right?) and it’s linked to my Apple Pay so if I go to Asda this morning, buy some milk, the spend comes out of my actual bank account but then I’ll get a £15-20 credit put back onto the curve account within 3 days?

Cool, I just made a purchase via Apple Pay on the Curve card for £1.00 so I’ll see if anything pops back into my account later today

Where do you go to see if you get the credit back on your curve card? The wallet section on the app?

To half-contribute to the thread, when I was at uni I would actively make t-shirt designs for redbubble as my beer-and-pizza fund. That still gets me a pizza every now and again which is nice!

Isn't redbubble the place where people just sell gooseberry fool with stolen logos and designs on it?

I have been using Curious Cat for surveys for a while, you get a near constant stream of surveys you can do and you can easily bash out 6 quid worth in a day if you have spare time to blast through them. A gooseberry fool load will get you 0 or 1 point but a load will get more, 100 points is a quid which is the minimum withdraw amount to PayPal

There's a lot of that. One of my best selling designs was a runner up in an official competition they did with Darkest Dungeon, I got something like $100 and it is officially licenced which is cool. They do a general partnership/licence scheme now for some specific brands where people can upload designs and they get official approval.

YouGov dole out around £200 a year, split into two categories.

Kantar's Shop and Scan dish out £300-£400 a year if you're willing to scan your shopping and receipts every week. Just like BARB television ratings, you need to be personally invited to this though. They'll contact you after you've proven yourself elsewhere with other market research and survey companies, and your household also meets their desired requirements.

Companies that give out free stuff from time to time are Dyson, in exchange for a product review, via Dyson.co.uk and Procter & Gamble via http://www.supersavvyme.co.uk, also in exchange for product reviews.

Well I was a passenger in two long car journeys today and I've already made £12 in survey completions.

That'll buy me Danganronpa 1+2 on PS5 :datass:
