One avenue being shut down in the next few months are crypto referral schemes by the FCA. They are looking at regulating the market more in the UK and as such including cooling off periods (of 24 hours I think I read), alongside putting a stop to referral schemes and tougher KYC.

So if you are wanting to take advantage of any of those offers (there's a lot out there, a few in here too), best do it quick as they are stopping them soon. The Luno offers will stop within the next week I've been told.

Got my switch incentive from First Direct yesterday, only took about two days from the time I met their criteria. I think that’s my sixth bank switch since December, I’m not even sure who’s left.

Some have stopped I think but will return in 1-2 months there’s:

Lloyds/Halifax (used to be able to do both but I think they’ve changed the terms)
Ulster/Natwest/RBS (think you can do all 3 even though they are the same company
Nationwide (stopped for now)
HSBC Advance
TSB
Co-Op (it’s a friend referral to activate though and some requirements. Happy to refer if needed, think there’s a few of us in this thread who can refer people too.

Chase is now also part of the switch service. They don’t offer a bonus for joining them, but it means you can use it as a dummy/burner account to switch elsewhere for a bonus

I think out of those the only one I haven’t had a Switch offer from one of their group is TSB, unless they belong to a group with one of the others. Either way will keep an eye on them, so cheers!

Yeah I'm on a huge lul right now with bank switches.It's the same banks always doing them, we need a newcomer to enter the field.
I've had NatWest group, TSB, nationwide and HSBC group. There isn't much left now. I'm probably closest to getting HSBC again in about 2-3 years as cancelled them in about 2019.

I'm with TSB now, waiting for the further £75 that should arrive in October.

I'm hoping that by early next year there will have been another Nationwide one. They are generous, particularly with timeframes – I'm sure I recall the last switch I made to them was not restricted by receipt of any previous incentive. I think I've received three switching bonuses from them over the years. Not to mention the £100 Fairer Share payment my wife and I both received into our joint account yesterday; I was very surprised that we didn't have to settle for one £100 payment between us.

Wealthify have increased their first-time customer matched investment offer to £75. Check it out through MoneySavingExpert. I did the £50 for £50 one over a year ago – by the time you withdraw the funds (you normally have to wait 12 months) the bonus feels twice as large, because you've been without the original investment for so long.

Forgot to mention but Barclays who never EVER seem to run a bank switch are doing one now for £175.

Cusp seems to be you can’t have had an account with them before 31/10/2023- and people online have stated they contacted Barclays who stated you can’t have ever had an account with them to qualify either which seems very very harsh

For FFS, I was hoping to apply for this one. I didn't see anything in the terms that precluded anyone even on the basis of previous incentives received, let alone anyone who's ever held an account with them in all of history!

I realise now I initially misread it completely (I think?!) because of the mixed tenses between the beginning of the paragraph and the additional 'or' term, which when paraphrased reads:

The lack of clarification to the past tense completely threw me off. But having re-read it now I can't think of way it could be interpreted other than "If you have ever held a Barclays bank account then you are not eligible for this offer".

It's been confirmed if you have had a Barclays account previously but had closed it before October 31st then you can get the switch incentive.

Nice trying to apply now but you have to do it directly in the app, and I can't find the option anywhere . Might be because I have a credit card with them, so it takes me to that version of the account. I'm on hold with customer support now...
