I binged the season in less than a week, so some of the sort of filler episodes could easily be shrugged off, but I think I might have actually enjoyed it more than the previous two seasons. It just had a lot of what I think of, when I think of Star Wars, stuff that actually the movies probably don't have that much of, particularly outside of the original trilogy. Mandalorians < Jedi :shifty: Just the last two episodes alone are going to result in so many toys I'll inevitably be spending money on in a year or so.

It does feel like a perfect place to end it, but there's no chance of that.

I really enjoyed the whole thing. Even the silly Jack Black/Lizzo episode.

I'm not sure why I still watch this show as season 3 was completely mediocre. The only reason this exists is Disney + needs content on its digital shelves, I'm not getting anything out of it.

Obviously it's not going to happen, but Star Wars should probably be put on carbonite until someone can think of something interesting to do with it.

But you're saying Star Wars should be put on carbonite until someone can think of something interesting to do with it while ignoring the show that did something interesting with it!

I wasn't a fan of Rogue One.

I don't think that matters really. It obviously shares the main character but it's very much it's own thing.

And it was written by the guy who rewrote and reshot Rogue One. Hard pass.

It's so much better than Rogue One.

Some of the miserable comments in this thread. I don't understand why people are watching a show they clearly have little interest in.

I understand it. They wanted it to be better and stuck around in hope. I did the same with Picard Season 2 which I hate-watched my way through at the time, praying it would get better.

It didn't. :fp:

I've not watched the finale yet but season 3 of Picard was a lot better.

Yeah Season 3 was amazing at the start. The last couple of episodes haven't been quite a good, but I'm still looking forward to wrapping it up tonight. Trek has turned the iffy-TV show corner (Mostly).

I really liked it. It was fun and didn't take itself too seriously.

Slightly disappointed Gideon died was hoping we'd get more of a look at the beginnings of the new order. Also it was a good episode but that whole brain washed doctor thing didn't seem to link to anything unless I missed something. It felt like that was part of another series that had been shoved in.

Amusement under late capitalism is the prolongation of work.

I think it was just to reveal the thing Gideon wanted Grogu for was to do with cloning, as I don't think we've really had an answer to why he was so important in the first place.

I know cloning is integral to star wars, but there's something about it which always seems like such a cop out (looking at you TROS). A lazy way to bring back characters or just have the hint that they may be back.
