also this is the weakest season i feel

i hope with how it ended we are just gonna get isolated one off adventures now and back to the bounty hunting instead of this boring ass played out jedi vs empire story we've seen 40 times

all of these shows and experiments have consistently proved that the universe is at its best on ground level with non magical people getting up to hijinks - i dunno if its exec involvement or unimaginative writers who always fall back into the secret empire threat wakes burgeoning space magic hope schtick but its lame and kills off interesting stories in its stead

I don't know if you're going to enjoy the next season, then. :shifty: It will probably be about Din hunting down Imperial bounties, leading into the movie that closes up all of these story arcs. Probably start small in scope and broaden out again. Wouldn't surprise me if we saw Bill Burr again. I hope we see Boba Fett return.

If the writing is the issue, then, blame Jon Favreau for insisting on being the only person writing most of it. His solo work often lacks depth.

This is interesring, I didn't know that. 3 seasons in its probably time to bring in some other creative brains on the writing.

Just met Gar Saxon in Rebels. Were his Mandalorians the same ones that were fighting alongside Moff Gideon? Their armour was pretty much identical. :o

Unknown, but it's a fun theory and would explain why they're so skilled in using Mandalorian gear.

Slightly disappointed Gideon died was hoping we'd get more of a look at the beginnings of the new order. Also it was a good episode but that whole brain washed doctor thing didn't seem to link to anything unless I missed something. It felt like that was part of another series that had been shoved in.

I think it was just to reveal the thing Gideon wanted Grogu for was to do with cloning, as I don't think we've really had an answer to why he was so important in the first place.

The clones were force sensitive so probably trying to steal his Jedi powers.

Amusement under late capitalism is the prolongation of work.

Just got through this - probably won't go all the way back through the thread so sorry if I step on others' points.

I'd heard a load of Debbie Downer opinions while it was on my watch list, but it was a pretty good season all in all. The last three or four series of Doctor Who and Picard S2 - they are bad series and it is a slog to sit through them. This wasn't - every episode was fun enough. I think it was good that they had the "different" episodes at 3 and 6, it split up the main Mandalorian arc nicely and made it almost like three two-parters.

Speaking of Doctor Who, E6 was so Nu Who it was unreal. The set up, the planet, the whole thing. Also Lizzo's acting was giving off Anna Nicole Smith vibes :dread:

I loved how they contrasted Imperial Coruscant in Andor to NR Coruscant in this - was it the same work department and apartment block?

Grogu in the IG suit has convinced me Jon Favreau is a Bluey fan :slol:

I’m struggling with my Disney+. A few shows I have it for, but once they are done nothing much. Even with for me a great catalogue, I just don’t find the UI as good or suggestive as Netflix.

The saving grace is probably the 20th Fox TV back library currently but I don’t feel I need to keep the subscription monthly
