Person who plays Bo Katan is the one who voiced her as well in The Clone Wars/Rebels, knew they sounded alike when I was watching it but was expecting a good impersonation rather than the same actress at first.

I think Rex is likely deceased at this point - he was old in Rebels, and much older still in RotJ. Nevertheless, he could still be alive. Be amazing to see him in a TESB/RotJ Yoda type role.

:o I forgot she voiced her in the animated shows. B'oh! It's great to see the actor reprising the role in a live action setting, honestly, she's great.

Rex Kramer wrote:It was a great episode. The only disappointment, when Mando says 'yeah, I know you're hungry' what he should have said is 'You should feel bad, you ate their children'

Otherwise, perfect.

The parents were right there, that would have been counterproductive. :slol:

DarkRula wrote:Yeah, I don't think we'll be getting Ahsoka in the very next episode. Filoni's directing the episode after that one, so you can be sure the appearance will be there.

Good point! Got to have a good adventure en route, right? :shifty: I'm just excited to see where it all goes.

Considering how piss easy the mandalorians took out the stormtroopers in that episode how on earth did they manage to beat the mandalorians in the purge?

At a guess - an overwhelming numbers advantage, aerial and orbital superiority, exotic WMDs like the one we saw in Rebels.

The question is, has his clone age acceleration killed him off in the (what is it, seven?) years since Endor?

Maybe 3-7 years? I haven’t seen any confirmation.

Googling it says The Mandalorian is set 5 years after The Return of the Jedi so he could be alive, it’d still be neat to see him in it even if he is on his last legs.

Wasn't the clone acceleration been told to have only affected them getting to adulthood in the facility? That's how Boba is still alive and still relatively quite young it seems?

Boba was an unaltered clone of Jango though so he aged naturally.

They said in Attack of the Clones that Boba didn't have the age-acceration thing, though, so he could essentially be Jango's "son".

I really wish they could get someone to put some sparkle on the dialogue in this show. I don't know if it's the script or the acting but all the conversations seem really flat to me.
Nice to see Titus Welliver continuing the participation of the Deadwood cast, after Timothy Olyphant and W. Earl Brown appearing in the first episode this season.

Proper Jedi Outcast vibes from the latest episode.

That bit in the lab's hinting at them trying to enhance regular people with force powers, right?

Not a huge fan of the latest episode. It really felt like a filler episode, probably only had about 2 or 3 minutes which added to the plot. Oh well, just another 7 days to wait.

You don't get filler in serial westerns, only more adventures.

I thought it was pretty damn good. More plot than expected, certainly more than we had at the same point in season one. It's all gonna come together.

Speculation on what'll probably be the finale:

Gideon will catch up to Mando on Corvus (sp?), overtaking and imprisoning him on his ship, removing his helmet/armor (causing him no shortage of Mando angst) and taking the Child. Bo-Katan and co intervene, breaking Mando out in epic style.

But Gideon's forces are too numerous, perhaps involving whatever those things are that we saw at the end of Chapter 12, and Gideon is too wily a tactician, and soon the gang is in dire straits once again. But Gideon is taken completely off guard by the intervention of Ahsoka Tano, who battles Gideon and his special bois with Bo-Katan while the other Mandos and the gang make good their escape. Ahsoka returns in the next season and Mando gets to reconcile his upbringing with his new reality.

sounds good although I worry the last shot of the series will be Ahsoka's first appearance.

Loved it. It does seem to be leading to some interesting places for the finale. We will see.

I think so yup!

I really hope Kyle Katarn shows up. I would loose my strawberry floating gooseberry fool.

I don't see any way for that to happen, honestly, unless they make him the sole survivor of whatever this Force-sensitive Super Soldier cloning program is, and after some seasons of being the baddie he eventually turns good, or less bad, and maybe becomes Ahsoka's apprentice, or something. This could be the basis of the rumored Ahsoka TV show.
