How's everyone getting on?

I have now lost 6kg since September; body fat down to 19.2% from 24% in the same period. I'm 67.2kg now. Think I'll adjust my target to 66kg.

I also did my first 10k race in stormy conditions last Sunday, and managed a respectable 45:42. I did a 5k in 22:02 during that, too.

So things are going well. I feel like a runner again, and my body is visibly leaner.

Been working to lose weight since January, have lost 11.5kg so far, target is 80kg (I'm 6ft 4 so seems a good place to be) currently at 95.5kg.

Been doing it as a 500 cal deficit traking using Samsung Heath. Started having huel for lunch too which isnt making much for actual loss but means a static 400 cal for lunch and feel way healthy as it has all nutrients and that.

Getting to a point where all my clothes are a but baggy but cant really replace yet as would need to do it all again later.

I’ve gone with nhs guidelines and 80 is in the healthy band. Fingers if I get near it and it feels like losing more is a bad idea I’ll stop and switch to maintaining.

80kg isnt light, its pretty 'normal' only gym-heads like us think its light Rocsteady :lol:
although to be fair going from 95 to 80 is quite a big loss so be prepared for it to take some time. also dont aim for 80 if youre actually slimmed down at say ~85. its just a guideline number, nothing else.

I’m under no illusion, 107 to 95 has taken nearly 3 months, I’m going intentionally slow to try and limit loose skin and that

How are you losing it, diet, exercise or both?

First was late last year, second is at 90kg, got up to 10 to go as I aim to get to somewhere between 80 and 85. Officially started tracking everything on Samsung Health changing my diet and also more exercise in January so doing well I think. Got some belly flub to get rid of but am pretty much back to the size I was at 18!

Sorry for some reason didn't reply.

Both, most diet though, I run at a 500 cal defecit a day and try and keep carbs below 50% of my daily. I have Huel as my lunch now as its filling so prevents snacking in the afternoon and is great for nutrition. I try and keep my snacking to fruit and nuts, Nakd bars are awesome for snacks.

Thanks, feels awesome to be nearly back to what I was at 18. Its good I found a way thats works for me to get gooseberry fool under control.

That's amazing

Keep up the good work, with all my weight loss and fitness it has given me so much more confidence.

Once you achieve your goal I think the hard work is maintaining it and not going back to old habits.

I'm planning on mot stopping using the app and tracking everything, the idea is to take the habit of tracking in and out calories and keep it going basically forever so that I don't slip back into being a mess.

Well done Errkal! I bet you can't stand the sight of fat you pictures now. I've found it makes looking at old holiday photos tough as all I can see is me being a fat banana split and ruining them all :lol:

I think one of the worst things about being overweight is when you don't notice, then look back and think 'oh god I really looked like that, why didn't anyone tell me :dread:

Pro tip: find your worst fat guy photo, and keep it handy as a motivator. It's a great reminder of how far you've come (context).
