It sure has been an eventful week on the neighbour front. State of play:

> A burglary report was made to the police. Funnily enough, no other resident from across the site saw or heard anything during the time of the alleged break-in. The door was allegedly "kicked in"... even though it clearly wasn't. Reality check: complete BS.
> The neighbour just disappeared after this incident.
> Letting agent arrived and reported that the neighbour "will not be back" and that "you don't want to know what it's like in there".
> Hopefully this means that the flat will now be cleared and someone new moves in.

That management company guy returned and I think that the lock on the door has now been changed. Phew!

Thanks, Proto! It feels like such a relief... last night I slept so well, just knowing that there wasn't going to be drugged-up or pissed-up people arriving/leaving throughout the night.

Whatever you do, don’t go to the forum meet up in London.

Oh and glad you got a good result there!

Getting rather pissed off now, as always, the moment the sun comes out, i find the air in the street outside stinks of smoke. I don't know if it's bonfire wanker or someone else (i can't even see where it is coming from, but i am clearly downwind of it), but it's been like it now since around 10am and i can still smell it every time i open the window.

At least it's not weed by the sounds of it. That's all I can ever smell here when I open the windows. It's disgusting.

Yep, it's a sunny Sunday so next door have started up a bonfire. I'll never understand how people have so much gooseberry fool to burn. Is it just ultra keen gardeners that can't wait for the garden waste bins to be emptied and can't bare the sight of an overflow pile?

Obviously sometimes there's branches etc. that aren't supposed to go out with the garden waste, but at least burn it on a week day when your neighbours are less likely to be out trying to enjoy their garden. :x

There's a house across the street that has a bonfire every other day during the hot weather. I can't understand why they don't do it in the winter and have to wait for the summer.

My council charges extra if you want your garden waste collected. Could be a factor in people just burning it instead.

I could understand that, but it is (for now at least) free here!

This sounds like you are going to go active shooter.

This post is exempt from the No Context Thread.

Degenerate Neighbour Bloke decided that the fence needed a fresh coat of wood preserver.

He used some kind of spray gun and my laundry (which was hanging on the line at the time) is now covered in what looks like a measles rash.
