The guy who bought the house next door is renovating and he's soooo noisy! To be clear, I'm not complaining about the banging, scraping, drilling etc etc, but he has the music on so loud. Throughout the day he moves from room to room and I'm convinced he just leaves the radio in one room with the volume on high so he can hear it wherever he is in the house. I wouldn't mind but I have online seminars and even they can hear it when we're in discussion groups.

Ab-so-lutely, Outrunner! I don't mind noisy work (as long as it's between, say, 8am and 7pm!) but people blasting out their music at the same time is super annoying.

I've even been around a couple of times to ask him to turn it down, just for the hour so I can concentrate on the seminar. He's either ignoring me knocking on the door or, more likely, his music is so loud he can't hear me knocking.

Surprisingly little actually, saw him washing the car in the rain last weekend, but no new items of garden furniture have appeared, and his christmas lights seem to be somewhat lacking in style and substance.

He already knows that he's become Stool Bloke. Rather than confront you about it, however, he's arranged to move out at the beginning of of the new year with his brother taking over the household. One whiff of a photo posted online, and boom goes the entire street.

If Stool Bloke has given up on life, we all might as well do the same.

It does seem rather subdued at that end of the street, even the camper van's gone.

One day of snow and my neighbour is out there with a big, strawberry float off snow shovel. And all he's doing is turning his drive into a massive ice rink.

Would be hilarious if he fell over :shifty:

One of my neighbours now seems to have a regular visitor, only instead of parking up, switching the engine off, and heading inside for said visit, this individual just leaves the engine running so it's just sat there idling for over 20 mins.

Can't wait until this happens in summer when i need to have the window open.

Not only is this ridiculous and stupid, it is against the highway code:

Leaving your car idling is looked upon dimly by the law. The Highway Code clearly states: "You must not leave a vehicle’s engine running unnecessarily while that vehicle is stationary on a public road."

Call the non-emergency police line if it keeps happening.

Sounds like the sort of person who will sit and beep the horn every few minutes for the person to come out of the house, rather than go and ring the doorbell. The beep the horn all the way down the road after dropping them off.

Not sure i want to involve the police tbh, but if it gets too bad i guess i'll have to file a report.

That said, the woman who receives this visitor doesn't like me anyways, as i came home one day to find one of her family's vehicles parked on my front drive without permission, and i had the sheer audacity to ask the bloke parked there (he told me she had said it was fine to do it) to move (she hasn't spoken to or even bothered to acknowledge me since).

This was also the same woman who i'd assumed had been evicted at one point (there was a removals van and the police oversaw them leaving the property), but a few weeks later, she returned without her bloke, so it would appear only one of them was forced out, and ever since he's not had access to his toddler son, while she seems to have a constant stream of random blokes come and go.

So they just leave the car idling on the road while they go into the house? Be a shame if someone made local car thieves aware of such easy pickings.

No one would dare to nick a car here, as our local warden AKA Stool Bloke would see them.

My street really is something else, I have degenerate neighbour bloke joined one side (who's tumble dryer needs shooting), I have the woman (and her many friends) in my last post the other, then there's the fat cow (a karen who is actually called karen), then there's the drunken skank who made a spectacle of herself at the VE day carbecue piss up, and then of course there's Stool Bloke himself, who just the other day, plonked himself on the pavement in the middle of a rainstorm during a lockdown.

I mean jeezus, i don't think anyone else here has such a high number of bellend neighbours.
