I can on occasion, hear music playing through our party wall. It's not loud and if we put TV on it drowns it out but if we're winding down and trying to get the wean to bed it can be distracting.

On the same note I often have music on in the kitchen so they would be able to hear that.

Is that just life in a semi detached house?

I can hear my neighbours all through our flat. we have about 2-3 hours a day on average and they have 3 kids and are in a 2 bed flat so it's understandable. It's just annoying af.

I got so annoyed and went to the door a couple years back and they agreed not to run it after 7pm so I can't really complain further.

Degenerate neighbour bloke runs his for 6+ hours a day sometimes, after a while you end up feeling as if you've got tinnitus.

See if you can get some acoustic plasterboard or barrier fitted on the shared walls.

Bike Bloke.

Split does this most mornings, and is doing it now: Goes out and starts his stupidly loud bike really early, then just leaves it on his drive idling for about 10 minutes. It's not like a car where you'd have a windscreen to defrost or anything. Twat.

Edit: it's also sat there pumping out fumes
