I've joined the Facebook group for our new village and oh my god, I love it.

The admin posts shite motivational Facebook images of cheesy quotes like “in a world where you can be anything, be kind” every day, there’s a woman who seems to be running minor plastic surgery out of her bedroom and every day you get top quality posts such:

“Great to see the local pub keeping on top of car park maintenance” complete with a photo of said car park maintenance

“Anyone struggling to buy toilet paper in Asda?” (not sure if this is a personal issue or an Asda issue)

And my favourite:
“Does the village smell fishy this morning or is it my imagination? Have just given our dogs some fish to eat so maybe it’s that but I’m not sure” :slol: :slol: :slol:

And then there’s a couple of great ongoing dog sagas:

One lady posted photos of a young dog that had “attacked” her dog, 20 comments later of “oh my god, hope your dog is ok” a response from the dog owner declaring it slander and that he was just a playful puppy and they had been to the police to report the post and would be taking action.

And then even better, a case where a dog owner was deliberately letting his dog gooseberry fool on someone’s doorstep-the latest update to this is brilliant, the house owner installed CCTV (and posted on Facebook warning they had done so), and the dog owner did it again with his hood up and face concealed so the CCTV footage was inconclusive :slol:

Apparently my area has a similar page run by stuck up busy-bodies (Like a mini-resetera). I believe the main scandals usually include dog and cat gooseberry fool.

There's also another page set up by people who have been banned from that page, taking the piss out of it.

I really need to get on there and mine it for gold.

Man, some of those posts are terrific, Tom  .

I do a "news" (i.e. reminding people not to be dicks, but in a positive way) poster for our flats' noticeboards :shifty: .

Wow, I thought it was only our little area's Facebook page which had such serious scandals. It's been going on years, the novelty wears off quickly.

Check out my YouTube channel!

Our local page is just lots of people asking for recommendations for plumbers. Like a ridiculous number of people, every other post seems to be someone with plumbing needs!

We get a lot of missing cat posts and then the same repeated joke about giving away a sofa with a picture of a destroyed, mouldy sofa. I stopped following it a long, long time ago.

My neighbour who I’m joined to (semi detached) has put her house on the market. Terrified I’m going to end up with someone who plays loud music, has loud uncontrollable children or regularly cooks stinky food

Similar situation here, my neighbour passed away, which in itself is sad, she was lovely. Now her daughter has put the house up for sale. The house needs a lot of work on it so once it gets sold I look forward to months of renovation and then probably god awful neighbours. With kids.

Please do not post this in the "No Context" thread

If you're really lucky, you'll get all that along with a howling dog, DIY, and a tumble dryer.

Degenerate Neighbour Bloke really is a jack of all trades.

I would love to have been in a position to do this. Would have been perfect.

As usual, instead of putting bins out on bin day itself, most of the road had theirs out half way through the day before. Being stupidly windy, this of course meant overturned bins and rubbish everywhere. This morning I've been down the road and there's a black recycling bin in the road, which has massive white letters on each side saying which house it belongs to... which is about 5 houses away. These people are at home because I can see them as I walk passed their house. Go and get your strawberry floating bin ffs.

Walk a few steps to get your own bin:

Nah, wait for someone else to put it on your doorstep :|

Old Chia pet woman keeps driving so fast down my cul-de-sac it can be rather dangerous, anyway the bins were empty today and the bin men left all the bins at the top of the road blocking the ways so cars can't get through. She wizzed out as per usual and knocked them all down like a set of skittles.
