As we know, a house with 2 people in it needs 4 plastic and metal recycling bins, all half empty!

Probably searching for a 5th to go with their 5th car that's clogging the road up.

If you call them thieves they are going to deny it and you won't get your bin back, just knock and cheerfully explain you think the binmen must have got confused and scratched off the number on the lorry (what r they liek) and they'll not only be too embarrassed to not let you take it back, they will probably apologise for the inconvenience too.

Just wait until the bins are next emptied, then get out there first and take it back.

Then engrave your house number on it.

They're empty now, but it's on their drive so I can't get it.

Next one I'm painting numbers all over it, engraving numbers in it, and putting one of those little tracking tags hot melted to it somewhere discreet.

When i found my recycling bin outside Stool Bloke's house (Mrs Stool Bloke had nicked it a week or so before, it still had my number on it), i took it right back.

Incorporate a drone with homing technology. Even if they steal it again, it'll fly home.

Keep your trash in bin bags, and when their bin has been emptied, dump all your rubbish in it.

I went and knocked on doors the evening it went, and if I'd seen it with the numbers on I'd have just taken it. They went to the effort of hiding it all this time though, and scraped the numbers off, the banana splits.

What you've got to do is just walk straight up the CCTV camera, throw up two fingers, and then take all their bins. They'll know exactly what was coming for them, I doubt you'll hear anything back. This plan is faultless.

Put a new bin on their drive every week until the end of the year, each one with a different house number on and with a hidden tracking tag. At the end of the year, shame them publicly.

Pour petrol through their letterbox and stick a banana in their tailpipe (arsehole).

Back when I lived in Essex our neighbours not only stole our bin, they painted over the number we already had on it to make it their number.

Someone dumped a gas cylinder in our driveway overnight. Apparently due to one of the wheels on it being broken (yet perfectly serviceable with some repair).

That they actually attempted to hide it (there's a small wall on one edge of the driveway) is what annoys me greatly. I've left it on the path just outside but that I now feel that I have to purchase some form of security camera to stop random dickheads leaving their unwanted crop in my drive is annoying me to strawberry float.
