The property is marketed as being for 'London professionals', because what kind of mentalist can sit in a small room day after day without going bat gooseberry fool raving mad. There's 6 (!) parks nearby, so it's not like there's nowhere to venture out to.

I feel attacked. Admittedly what helps me is escaping into VRChat

I'm not sure KKLEIN has worked from home for a long period of time, possibly indefinitely. We do more than just wank the time away.

I do go outside sometimes though. Sometimes.

I've worked from home for a few years, but in the summer I tend to take the laptop outside. With my headphones on, I position myself in such a way that I can look at my massive palm tree (lewd) while having the sound of the beach or some nature environment in my ears and pretending I'm somewhere else.

I go from one extreme to the other. Most of the time, I like peace and quiet - particularly in the morning - but then at other times I can happily listen to something like AC/DC at full volume (not that I do, because unlike my Dad many years ago I realise not everyone would appreciate hearing it).

Not that I'm going to get offended on their behalf, but I find it rather egregious when you've got somebody blaring out obnoxious lyrics & there's so many young kids playing in the garden, particularly the Muslim neighbours on the other side of me. It's that lack of consideration for anybody else that gradually winds me up. The landlord is strawberry floating useless though. Nice enough bloke to speak to I guess, turns up in his string of flash motors and his small dog, but you can tell he hates any sort of confrontation and is ineffectual at solving anything. Over the course of the last 4 years or so there have been various incidents internally when the building is full to capacity (it's as if a conventional semi-detached town house wasn't designed to house 5 people...) and his go-to solution is always 'well speak to the police'. YOU'RE THE LANDLAND! He has all these listing policies, such as no pets, no smoking, no DSS, minimum 6 month term...all of them broken at various points.

My Dad slept down stairs last night and he kept hearing noises, so he went outside and that blooming Costa Woman's kid was sleeping in our front garden. He went and told her and she said leave him alone, she actually had a go at my dad for waking her up.

Just a matter of time until that kid becomes the subject of a missing persons inquiry.

Every time this happens you should get in touch with social services and keep a record so when he eventually does disappear there's absolutely no chance they can claim they didn't know about it :shifty:

I would have kicked her in the head.

I'd have gone Silent Assassin on her a long time ago. It'd take me about fifty attempts, but I'd get there in the end.

I don't mean to say you're being unreasonable. Rather that people do weird things to amuse themselves for a variety of reasons.

That you've got to have terrible musicians or nobody gets a start is perhaps the most sympathetic I can be. I'd probably hate it too. You all saw my posts about tik tok mansion and the BWAAAAAM BWAAAAAM noises at 2am, and the casio keyboard drummer who played the exact same strawberry floating beat for hours at about 10pm on random days including Sundays. Then there was that time I threw up because I was so pissed off and anxious about confronting it. Still actually have the recording of that I was going to use but they finally sold it for 2 million. There's also still a stain on the stairs from my acid puke which I'm sure the landlord will be happy about.

YOU'RE THE LANDLAND though

That's meme material

Neighbour's kid was running around their garden, wailing at the top of their lungs, before even 8am this morning. strawberry floating idiot. I'd have ragged them inside and beat their arse off if they were my kid.

I'm going to guess about eleven or twelve. And I wouldn't really beat a kid either, I was being a grump. But I absolutely would've taken then inside for a stern word. It's never happened before so hopefully it was just a one off meltdown. I wasn't even sure what it was at first, I thought we were being invaded.

Hopefully it wasn't an actual real autistic meltdown. I know the phrase gets used more generally. Kid could have been vulnerable.

The neighbours' kids are starting to be unleashed again now the sun's out. Every morning this week been woken up by kids shouting their heads off. Someone's dog keeps going nuts and barking like crazy. And this morning, the house across the road has a rock bed out front, and they're just picking out the rocks one by one and dumping them into a bucket, somehow making the most noise possible. Full crank today.

Sounds like you live in my street, this is just normal behaviour around here these days.

Yesterday though was worse because while the kids were just their usual noisy selves during the evening, bonfire wanker decided it was time to light another one. It seems to be the same house which does it, but is too distant for me to figure out who it even is, all i see is plumes of smoke rising from behind the next cul de sac along, but being east of it means the prevailing wind always brings it straight towards my open window.

Has the carbecue made an appearance yet?

It's surprisingly quiet on the stool bloke front at the moment thankfully, though i'm sure he'll reappear and start acting like a bellend again soon enough.
