The town centre doesn't actually have any public toilets, they had to close them due to vandalism so I guess that's the excuse folk use.

My friend works in Mc Donalds in the town and a young couple walked in a got their meal and sat in the car park and ate it, the woman then shat outside the restaurant and walked off. They told the cops as they had CCTV but they didn't care.

Dog walkers who go out of their way to chat to you about their lives are the worst. There's one guy in particular who is so bad for it that I've basically memorised his times and routes to minimise how often I see him. I don't mind very quick chats in passing (any positive dog interaction is great for my rescue), but if I'm walking my dog at lunch what makes you think I want to spend half my lunch break standing still and chatting about the weather?

Thankfully, it doesn't happen too often because a lot of people find my dog scary if they haven't met him before, so we're usually given a wide berth.

The most inane, boring shite imaginable about the dogs, that all seem to have identical qualities. The owners are constantly having to pick up actual gooseberry fool off the floor and walk around with it in little bags. I'll never understand it.

There's definite drawbacks, they are very much a tie and trying to keep your home clean becomes soul destroying if your dog malts. The latter is the single reason that I probably won't get another dog after the one we have (which I adore, for the record) passes.

That said, some people feel the exact same way about children who require about a million times greater responsibility and drastically reduce what you can do with your life.

I totally understand why some prefer to be childfree/petfree.

I can't stand most other dog walkers, because they're usually fat and slow as strawberry float with gooseberry fool dogs like pugs or terriers, so they're barely moving with their fat arses taking up most of the path, with their stupid rat of a dog all over the shop on an extending lead (crap dog walkers love these because they can stop a lot and let the dog do the walk).

People with decent dogs are better, with short leads and they're out and about getting on with it. I don't chat to many, but I like to say hello to the old boys that you see out all dressed smart waking their dogs. A friendly "hello how are you" is good from the other side of the road.

I also like to spot the people who are clearly going out of their way to not engage or say good morning, so ill always make an effort to give a really over the top GOOD MORNING!!!! so they have to begrudgingly respond. Especially if it's a fat slow person.

I'll always give people a nod and a "hey/good morning" type greeting - I'm not a monster! But I also don't want that to be taken as an invitation for someone to bend my ear for the next 20 strawberry floating minutes!

And yes extendable lead dog walkers are the worst members of society.

I don't feel confident letting him off the lead because I haven't had him long enough, so I don't know what triggers he might have that he's developed in his previous life. It's essentially a way of letting him be 'off lead' with the safety of being able to recall him in an emergency if he's not listening to me. My girlfriend and I only use it when we're in open spaces so he can have a good run. Otherwise, we use a regular short lead around the neighbourhood or on our way to a field.

Exactly how we use one (leather short lead for regular walks, Extender for big open spaces with nobody about).

My main annoyance with them is people don't seem to realise (or care) that its possible to lock them. They'll just let the dog come flying over no matter where they are and the only thing stopping it is it reaches the maximum length. Even better is their token effort to look like they're trying to call the dog off by lifting the handle directly upwards from waist height by about 10 centimetres, as if that magically makes the lead shorter.

Keep the extender locked at about a metre length unless nobody else is around, and if they are, pull the dog back in and lock it again
