Cutting your trees in your garden, what the hell? Next door has a single conifer that sits right by the left drive, and it's started encroaching in to the space, so needs a whole side lopping off, and while we're at it, it wouldn't hurt to take some height off it. I'd never just trim without at least telling them first though.

The man just knocked our door and it was the most British thing I've ever seen. Both him and my wife just apologising awkwardly to each other and trying to make sure everything was okay as no one was upset.

Meanwhile I'm just sat here feeling so uncomfortable and anxious over the whole thing. Sometimes I'm too Mark Corrigan for my own good.

Bought some paint brushes today for my upcoming giant gnome restoration project.

She strikes again. A truck just came to drop off some flooring that we're having fitted later this week and the moment he started reversing up the road she ran out to tell him to park somewhere else.

It's so strawberry floating weird how precious she gets about it. Basically she has a really long drive that goes in front of and past our front door so delivery men sometimes use it to stop directly in front of our house as our own driveway is round the corner.

I don't understand why she's so anal about it. How can we even be held responsible for what a delivery driver does? If we were personally using their drive for hours I'd understand but it's one strawberry floating delivery driver for 5-10 minutes. :|

And how is a delivery driver possibly supposed to guess that the bit directly outside your door belongs to someone else?

Sometimes our neighbours will have a lorry turn up to deliver something and they block one of the drives completely, but I don't give a gooseberry fool as long as it's not being parked there or I don't need to get out.

Some people end up getting swallowed up in an obsessive rut like that. I've seen it before.

They gradually become more and more agitated by the tiniest thing and can't objectively see they're being totally unreasonable. And if you have one as a neighbour it can be a nightmare.

Do you just take this?

I'd say it's her pejorative to construct a strawberry floating gateway or something.

My neighbour has a real thing about parking spaces. She despises anyone parking in one of her allocated slots. She's literally went out and moved her car in behind them so they can't reverse out, and they have to ask her to move. The last time this happened, I was in my living room laughing like a strawberry floating gopher at the situation. It's so petty.

I can sympathise with that, as at the flat we had one allocated space each (with the flat number on) and there was nothing worse than a 2 and half hour drive back from work on a Friday to find some banana split has parked in your space.

I could understand being pissed at that.

She has two spaces and lives by herself though, there's really no excuse for her pedantic behaviour. It gave me some entertainment anyway.

A guy keeps parking in my spot for my flat, I only have one but I don't have a car so it doesn't bother me too much, but when I did point it out to the guy he claimed it was his spot (even though it's on my lease). I can't be strawberry floated complaining, but if I had a car I'd be really annoyed by it. My Dad gets annoyed because if he was coming he can't park either.

That's a pretty good shout.

Might get expensive once you need to hire your own personal parking enforcement officer though. Don't you like cats? Hire one of them.

In which case your parking space is a runway and you can afford to share.
