Had a package for our next door neighbour for over two weeks now, it appears to be a wood turned item and they clearly don't need it. Rubbish bin (not recycling, neither allowed) are still out front.

Yesterdat we heard scratching, myself in the basement (in the walls, the shared wall) and then our kitchen and this morning my girlfriend found two turds in the kitchen. Hooray, we have a rat. Went outside and it had dug up like 2 cubic foot of clay from under chalk stone and burrowed a hole out of under our patio. Next door? Fag ends everywhere, littered with cut down Ivy and piles of upturned soil. So a rat has a burrow in their garden and now it's in our walls.

Bet this guy is going to turn out to be a banana split, pretty much guaranteed at this point as no response to notes from another neighbour or myself or my girlfriend about their strawberry floating parcel. So if they don't even want their own stuff, how are as to expect help with a rodent problem?

Edit: finally collected the package and introduced themselves and just been away for 2 months abroad or whatever. That's fine. So thankfully not a gremlin type person like myself but who doesn't give a gooseberry fool.

Loads of Diy type work powertools in the recently bought property on the other side, which is fine, they should make it their own. But it was empty for an entire year so rats could have dug up the foundations and moved in, now they are running away like nope strawberry float that. Thinking again the shared wall was the other side so the investigation continues. I like rats, it's not their fault but they can be bloody grim when they start shitting everywhere in cupboards and dying, rotting and generating hundreds of bluebottles emanating from your skirtings, cupboards and other nooks, especially if you lay poison :dread:. There's nothing that can be done in that instance than wait for them to rot away. Had to deal with it at my mums. They come up from the valleys and in this case the river Ouse that runs through the town, as it does through London.

It's the pottery that grows.

Oh and after a third day of disruption, degenerate neighbour dad has gone and just like last night, the tumble dryer has started again.

No house needs THAT much repairing, he was in there again today making as much noise as possible.

The tumble dryer is now running yet again too.

I feel blessed that I don't really have any need for this thread. But I keep coming back for Stool Bloke.

Better in the day than at night?

Are you in the house all day?

I am some days, and when i'm having to concentrate on paperwork and the like, having some dickhead creating a disturbance does not go down well.

One of my neighbours to the rear has set up a new security light in their back garden that seems to shine directly in to my bedroom.

The thing is hyper sensitive as well, it seems to go off from the tiniest movement so any creatures moving in their garden or people walking along the road during the night will see my whole room lit up like strawberry floating Time Square. :dread:

We had this problem at our old house. I went into their back garden in the day while their house was empty and pointed the light away from our house.

Jenuall, have you tried speaking to your neighbour? They might be happy to move it so it doesn't point directly into your bedroom.

I was umming and ahhing about going around there and mentioning it to them but they aren't the most receptive bunch so I may just go with the Dual style sneak attack and adjust it when they are not looking! :slol:

The thing is ridiculously bright though, it's clearly not a standard "commercial" security light. Feels like they must have borrowed it from a strawberry floating prison yard or something!

If they are arseholes then it might be worth just doing a Dual.

Or buy an even more powerful light and point it at their house. Keep upping the ante until it has escalated to the stage where you are pointing a nuclear fusion reactor directly at them.
