Perhaps not with the crazy and synthesiser distortion stuff but, yeah with my more classical stuff, I've had plenty of comments from housemates etc saying it helped them fall asleep and kind of became a soudntrack for that part of their life etc. I had been playing over a decade at that point so don't take this as a point of encouragement to whack a valve amp on at 10 and practice scales / chords for 4 hours. Something I've never actually done

/musicians thread

Edit: Sorry MCN if that's what you've been doing, but it sounds more like you've been playing complete songs

Someone over the road is just sat in their car running the engine, having a conversation with the passenger and have been doing so for about 10 minutes. Either go somewhere or switch it off FFS. I know I should petrol bomb them from here to assert my authority, but what the actual hell are they achieving other than wasting petrol?

There's a special place in hell reserved for the inventor of leaf blowers.

Calvin has a girlfriend! I know because I can get them having fairly functional sex while presumably trying not to alert his dad, who never leaves the house. Unfortunately for Calvin, if I can hear it, so can Steve.

Functional sex eh, at least it wasn't ridiculous ott circus level sex that degenerate neighbour bloke was having at one point (pretty sure he got dumped not long after).

No, this is a very functional pounding of the kind I would say does more for him than it probably does for her.

Our old neighbours went at it far more creatively but she was so porno fake in her gasping and screaming it was hilarious.

Hearing them strawberry float doesn't really bother me, it's more thinking about how awkward it must be doing it when your dad is watching TV in the room next door because for some reason, despite being an adult man, you still live at home. If I was her I'd not be coming back to his place.

To be fair, no one that age can afford not to live at home these days, i mean hell, same thing applies to most people in higher age groups now too.

Had a flatmate at my girlfriend's when we met who used to have a really goofy laugh while they were having sex in the other room, it was an instant boner killer and obviously that felt like the worst thing ever at the time. I would just hear that first guffaw and think NOOOOOOOO

Maybe they're making sure the battery gets a good charge?

He had a job and a BMW convertible so if he's skint it's his own fault. Also it's Newcastle, rent round here is not exactly sky high.

Do you happen to live in a particularly leafy area or is the guy just really, really bored?

Also, pics/vids please.
