Couldn't think what to call this thread and I couldn't see one like it even though I know there are people here that do enjoy going to see musicals and what not. Just wanted to post anyway that I saw Les Miserables last week for my Mrs birthday. It was awesome! Really should go and see more stuff like it, nothing compares to hearing this kind of thing live. So yeah, last thing you saw or did or whatever?

Last thing I saw at the theatre was Dirty Dancing Got tickets for Rent, The Lion King and High Society next year, too. Should be fun.

I've got a friend who's desperate to go and see Wicked, so no doubt I'll probably be seeing that next year as well at some point. I'd much rather just go and see the Wizard of Oz again. Danielle Hope

Took my girlfriend to see Singing in the Rain, it was my first musical and I actually quite enjoyed it. Curious to see that new one next year by the South Park guys, Mormons something or other.

I've got tickets for Les Miserables over the Christmas break, really looking forward to it. Also been to Chicago, Avenue Q and Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy this year. Avenue Q was awesome as we had front row seats and I got singled out during 'The Internet is for Porn'.

We sat in the dress circle of Les Miserables. Not much leg room, but isn't that the same everywhere? I remember there was no leg room at Blood Brothers.

Yeah, legroom is always a little awkward, so I tend to try and book aisle seats. Front row of the dress circle is where it's at

I took the missus to see American Idiot the other day as she's a massive Green Day fan. Was surprisingly ace.

I've been wanting to to see that for a while. Do they do a Mamma Mia though, and just leave you wanting the proper performances?

Abba have quite a difficult to imitate vocal style, so I'm hoping the Green Day one works a bit better.

Not really. Because the vocal style is so different in the musical, it isn't really an issue. With Mamma Mia the original tracks were already quite theatrical, so they just sounded like bad cover versions.

The whole show was really good to be honest. The story is a bit thin, but it's energetic and exciting throughout. The high-wire acrobatics during Extraordinary Girl were, well, extraordinary.

Just ordered an ATG Theatre Card. Should net me some decent discounts on tickets and stuff over the next year. Best part about it is that it means you don't have to pay booking fees

And the discount on drinks and sweets, which might even get them down to bearable prices.

I will see Chicago an infinite amount of times. The production that was playing at the Palace Theatre (Manchester) last year was absolutely bonkers, and amazing with it.

Hopefully seeing The Lion King in March, which will be my second Disney stage production after Beauty and the Beast. Also saw Les Mis a few years ago in London. Adore that show's range, from tiny comedy skits to massive bellowing chorus' and smart melodies.

The show I've seen most is Phantom of the Opera, but I never got round to watching Love Never Dies on stage... Got the CD and quite enjoyed it, largely for Devil Take the Hindmost

I'm going to see Slava's Snow Show on the 30th in London. My Dad saw it back in Israel and really enjoyed it so I can't wait to go see it.

He's basically a world famous mime clown who does his entire routines to music from around the world and heavily involves his audiences in what he does.

Going to see The Lion King early next year. Will definitely see The Book of Mormon whenever it's remotely close too.

Ok, back from Slava's Snow Show. I won't say anything as I don't want to spoil anything but by god if you ever get the chance to go, go! It's sooo bloody good. From start to finish I had a massive smile on my face and every single bit was amazing. I now can tell why he's the most famous mimeclown in the world. Pure brilliance.
