Whole show is here for a week, get it while you can! It's a proper farce. The end of the first act is incredibly slapstick :slol:

I don't really see the point of the musical numbers in between the scene changes, though. Could probably trim 20 minutes from the whole runtime by just getting rid of them.

Went to see OMTG a few years ago. Great fun.

Cosi fan tutte is being streamed at 7pm by the Royal Opera House.
It's on their YouTube or Facebook pages.

They're doing a live stream of Curtains tonight at 7:15, but you have to make a donation of £7.50 to get access. I'm tempted, just in case it doesn't then turn up on... other channels :shifty:

It's a really good show if you like your murder-mysteries (the songs are by the fellas who did Chicago). Love I Miss the Music, but I'm not a massive fan of Ore Oduba doing it.

I can't remember if I read it here or on Twitter, so I'm just going to repeat it:

The 25th anniversary production of The Phantom of the Opera is currently available to watch in full on Youtube. It's available until tomorrow night due to licensing in the UK, and Sunday night elsewhere.

I've just seen it for the first time, and it was bloody fantastic.

This week's ALW stream is Love Never Dies, too. (Phantom 2). Think I've already got the version they'll be showing, though.

Twelfth Night tonight on the National Theatre's YouTube channel! Should be good.

The next two NTLive streams are Frankenstein (starring Benedict Cumberbatch and Johnny Lee Miller) and Antony and Cleopatra (with Ralph Fiennes and Sophie Okonedo)

Quietly hoping they stream Skylight at some point to replace the awful SD version I've got :shifty:

It gave me some great context for this skit I saw a while back.

Thanks Frank! :D

I keep forgetting they're putting all these shows up so a good reminder.

NTLive are doing a stellar job with these streams, tbf. Loving how they're all fully subtitled, too  Not got much interest in Frankenstein, but will probably still give it a watch. Andrew Lloyd Webber's next one is his 50th birthday concert, so it's a whole load of cast members singing tunes from Evita/Phantom/Joseph/etc.

Tonight's stream has Cumberbatch playing the creature. Interestingly the blurb mentions it's been "adapted for YouTube", so I'm wondering if they've had to cut stuff from the original performance.

Oooof. Big proshot musical news today - HAMILTON is coming to Disney+ in July:

(That's my birthday too lol. Why not stream it on Independence Day, considering what it's about, though? :slol: )

The 1998 production of Cats is available on YouTube for the next 48 hours.

I'm about 3/4 of the way through, and I can safely say that this is the best musical I've ever hated.

Cats is the first musical I ever went to the theatre to see, and at seven years old even I wondered whether there was something, anything better that my family could be spending their time doing.

I watched about 10 minutes of the film version before I threw in the towel, it's so bizarre. I don't understand how it was one of those shows that became a staple of the West End

Will be downloading it as soon as I'm at my computer.

On a slight tangent, while still being theatre-related, has anyone watched that Romesh and Rob vs Ballet episode where they visit the Birmingham Royal Ballet? Genuine tears of laughter when they were getting the wigs/beards fitted.

This Friday's Our House to Your House show is La Fille Mal Gardee!

If you're kinda new to ballet it's a good show to start with. It's a comedy, and it features a (real) tiny horse! Starring Carlos Acosta, too, who's now the main man in charge at the Birmingham Royal Ballet.

Tonight's NTLive show is the Madness of King George:

Should also be a good watch. I barely know anything about George III, and most of that is from Hamilton :shifty:

Interesting!

I can tell from this thread that it's highly rated, I don't know much about it.

Can anyone sum up why it is so good?
