I watched the entirety of Seinfeld for the first time a few years ago, and at first I'm thinking... this isn't that great (and I find Seinfeld himself a bit irritating), but it pops into my head so much now and makes me laugh. Usually something involving George.

Jerry Seinfeld was the sort of straight man to Kramer & George's madness most of the time, so he often was the underwhelming element in the show. Which is a bit strange looking back.

I do really like Seinfeld. But not in its entirety. One of those shows where it has loads of 'greatest hits' scenes, but there were large clutches of episodes which were repetitive and a bit of a slog sometimes.

I've said it before and I'll say it again, that's up there with the Red Wedding and the Breaking Bad episode at the cartel villa as one of the best single episodes of TV in a long time.

Dunno why they're acting like it's a big thing since it's been on Netflix already, but that's marketing I guess.

You season 3 tomorrow.

Netflix has confirmed season 4 has been approved too, I'd hope that's because the writers actually have ideas of how to progress the show rather than it potentially going the way of Dexter.

Also decided to see what all the hype was about Squid Game. Its basically Saw 1 and Saw 3 so none of the twists or mystery had me particularly surprised. Found it quite predictable and not nearly as gripping as I thought it might be.

Just finished Squid Game.
Overall it was really good but the games themselves weren't particularly interesting and sometimes quite unfair. I think I preferred Alice in Borderlands.

The bridge exploding and killing the pickpocket after she had completed the game was a bit harsh. It was also basically impossible for anyone in the first half to survive that game. I think I would have preferred if there was a way for multiple final winners, which was hinted all the way only for it to come down to a 2-player final game with winner takes all.

I liked the twist of who was actually running the game. I should probably have guessed but it didn't occur to me and so was a nice surprise. I saw the masked man twist coming, and the policeman will definitely survive and be back for S2.

All part of hyping the live action series maybe? But I missed it the last time around, so will definitely make up for it now. (It's also on Channel 4 On Demand.)

Space Dandy is still on Netflix. It's by the Cowboy Bebop creator and has a totally different feel to it. With the initial episode you think you know what you're in for, but the series is actually one where each episode is stand-alone and has little to do with the opener. Give it a go if you haven't already.

Isn’t the All4 version just the dub though?

No idea. Not watched it. I just did a quick check and it doesn't appear to be a bad dub *shrug* If I have an option for both, I'll watch it with subs and then dub. If I only have one? I won't be picky unless it's awful.

While I'm here. Everyone needs to give Haikyuu! on Netflix a go. (Again, it has subs and dub; I've seen it multiple times with both and found both to be highly entertaining.) Don't be put off by the subject matter  Give it a go and watch as it makes you believe just about anything can be worth a watch.

I'm probably a terrible racist now, but when the cop showed up at the start, I actually thought he was the guy from the tube station that had offered to play the game with the envelopes. It was only when he started to investigate his missing brother did I realise it was a different person. So from that point oh, I'm convinced his brother was tube station guy and will be the guy running the game. When it showed the tube station guy at the end, I realised he didn't actually look anything like the cop.

If anyone was thinking of giving it a chance, get around to it soon because it'll leave Netflix at the end of October.

Loving the grindhouse/b-movie esque feel of that.

Think the slightly crap acting adds something to it too.
