Just nowhere near as much good content on there compared to a few years ago, and with the price increase it doesn't warrant keeping it.

Time to unfurl the black flags and the jolly Roger instead

I think when the last 2 episodes of Stranger things are out (and I’ve rewatched Sex Education series 3) I might do th same, there just isn’t enough on there to warrant having it as a rolling sub all the time, especially compared to Disney+ which is only £8 by comparison and having Star Wars, Marvel, Simpsons alongside a lot more is just better value so I won’t be getting rid of Disney+ anytime soon.

Disney+ costs less and has far and away a greater amount of appealing content, but I do appreciate that Netflix produce their own; some of which is very good. I am tempted to cancel Netflix and re-sub in a year for a fixed period of time and binge anything good that 'drops' in the meantime.

Yeah, that's about where I'm at with it. Once I've finished The Circle S4 there'll be nothing of interest left for me to watch.

That’s what my plan would be, whenever anything of particular interest comes out, I’ll subscribe for another month and catch up with what I’ve missed.

I'll be cancelling my subscription in August. Out of interest, do any of the other streaming platforms offer much in the way of East Asian TV shows? It's the main reason I've stuck with Netflix.

Please do not post this in the "No Context" thread

Keep sweet pray and obey EP1. Interesting and shocking, the power of cults/religions/facist political movements.

Web of make believe EP1. I kind of have to agree most with the angle that its down to police corruption and incompetence. - and i think the guy at the end either justifies that, or shows that playing COD is also like being in a cult or having a truly terrible addiction.

I tried to join today, and the system wouldn't accept my payment details, tried a different card, still no good, even tried with a different email address.

Utterly useless, just keep getting error messages.

EDIT: All sorted now, gonna try season 1 of Stranger Things later.

Finished The Circle S4. Definitely the weakest series, half the players were really bland and the more entertaining ones didn't come in until near the end.

Still a fan of the concept and the show, mind.

A serious lack of new good murder/serial killer documentaries lately. Think Netflix have maybe done them all :shifty:

Did you see the Mormon one? The one about the guy selling historical scriptures. TOTAL. PSYCHOPATH.

Edit: Murder Among the Mormons it's called.

EDIT 2: The Motive is another really good / fucked-up one.

Apologies if you're already aware of them.

Enjoying Season 1 of Stranger Things so far, am pretty late to the Netflix party so have a bunch of stuff i need to catch up on including...

Stranger Things 2-4
13 Reasons Why 3 & 4
Lost in Space 2 & 3
Squid Game
Schumacher

Might try Drive to Survive too.

Also saw a trailer for an interesting looking series called Dark, has anyone tried it and if so, is it any good?

I tried to watch it but couldn't see anything.

Tee hee such jokes.

I've never seen it, but think it's highly rated.

No idea if you’re looking for recommendations Vermilion, but Sex Education is one of the series I’ve enjoyed watching the most, definitely worth a try at least.

First season is really good. I haven't seen any of the rest of them, I should probably get around to that. It got a lot of Stranger Things comparisons, but beyond a kid going missing, it couldn't be anymore different. It's like a time travel thing set over multiple time periods.

It is very good. Goes a bit nuts in later seasons but well worth a watch.

Cheaper Netflix-with-ads option confirmed, in partnership with Microsoft. No price or launch info yet.

Am now 10 episodes into season 3 of 13 Reasons Why, so far i have mixed feelings about it as while some stories have been really well written (such as Tylers trauma arc), the new girl has not been particularly likeable and the what's looking to be a redemption story for Bryce just seems off (he should have been sent to jail at the end of season 2 as his actions had been way beyond redemption)

It will be interesting to see how this season ends though.
