House of Cards was really good tbf, though that last series was dreadful (but that was largely due to events outside of their control).

I'd chuck Sex Education in there too.

Sex Education wasn't my cup of tea, I only watched a few episodes. I could tell it was well-made, but young-adult college-drama type stuff just all meshes together for me.

I quit Netflix early this year. Nothing they were producing appealed to me, plus I'd exhausted my Star Trek rewatches by that point.

Edit, just finished episode 5, that was my favourite episode so far.

I thought eps 5 and 6 were back to back bangers. Ep5, as a sort of pseudo-Bottle episode in particular was brilliant.

I really didn't imagine the series would be such a direct adaptation of each individual issue. There's surely no way they could keep that going for the entire run! First couple of episodes suffered as a result of that I think, as well as from sharing the homogenised style of Netflix dramas released in the last few years that are produced in Britain, but from episode three onwards it's been great.

Agreed. I haven't read the comic but I've been impressed with how deftly it's moved from one story to another. I thought it was gonna be one season long arc but by now that's clearly not the case but it hasn't suffered for it. I do think that the Ruby storyline possibly had a bit more legs to it, when it was done I was a bit 'oh wait really that's it?', but if that's all the source material gave them, I'd rather it be nipped in the bud with me wanting more than wading away from the theme of the source material.

Looking through the episode list compared to the list of collected comics I think they could get away with getting through the whole thing within three seasons, which isn't the best news given it's on Netflix.

The one thing I wish they had at least tried to keep from the comics is Morpheus' shiny eyes to distinguish himself from just looking like a little goth guy.

That's good news. Would have been a really annoying ending if it didn't get renewed.

Finished Season 3 of Stranger Things today, and will likely start Lost in Space season 3 next.

Watched episode 6 of The Sandman, the first part of the episode was really sad at points. Get the feeling Desire is going to be a pain going forwards though, barely seen them on screen and can already tell they’re going to annoy the hell out of me.

In a good way, right? Like, you're annoyed about this conniving and deceitful character in the context of the story and even more so for how they're so masterfully portrayed?

Right!?

I have no idea, I guess if that’s how they’re wanting the character to be acted they’re doing a great job already! But they just annoy me

Having just finished season 3 of Ozark tonight, Ozark is the best thing Netflix has ever produced. It's BB level quality.

Anybody watched Mike Myer's Pentaverate?

It was nothing outstanding but I really enjoyed it. Very on brand and cheesy. Only 6 episodes too.

Actually kinda disappointed about this. It was good to have an RE spin-off that was allegedly still part of the canon, and by not doing an adaptation of anything that'd previously happened in the games they didn't have to worry about annoying any of the more die-hard fans with inconsistencies. Was always a bit annoying seeing people grumbling about Lance Reddick not looking like Wesker when the bigger mystery was how he was still alive at all, considering in Resident Evil 5 he Ouroboros' out and then gets blown up in a volcano

I'm still only three episodes into it, but it seemed to be getting better with each episode. The scene in the chunnel with the Lickers was great (the darkness clearly helped them make it look a bit better than that CGI dog in the first episode  ), and then that big boi :dread:

Hope it doesn't end with a stupid cliffhanger now too :x Justification for finally cancelling my Netflix subscription, at least.

Napoleon Dynamite is on Netflix. Is it worth watching? Time is money in my house at the minute.
