And the third episode was an absolute banger! Pretty epic and sometimes moving and very satisfying. Looking forward to the next three episodes being released!

Im the same, never was an LOL fan but I started it yesterday to kill some time, and I binged the whole 6 episodes. Was thinking throughout the series how cool it would be if there was a videogame based on it, and I remembered the series is based on the game :slol: :slol: Im still not going to get into LOL but the lore is very good.

How I wish Acti-Blizzard would see this and do something similar with Overwatch. Some/All of the animated shorts they did around Overwatch's launch were such good quality.

I think Acti-Blizzard have bigger problems right now.

I've just caught up to date - I can't quite believe how well this show has turned out. It's so slickly executed in terms of animation, action, emotional beats and even the hints of deeper politics and lore. And all the characters are entertainingly rounded and believable without an OTT goof performance in sight. And it's just so entertaining.

An easy 5/5 from me so far and I'd be surprised if the final 3 drop the ball. I thought the boxing fight in 5 was fantastic but then the ambush at the end of 6 probably topped it.

A big fat Wow from me.

Overall it was really good but the games themselves weren't particularly interesting and sometimes quite unfair. I think I preferred Alice in Borderlands.

The bridge exploding and killing the pickpocket after she had completed the game was a bit harsh. It was also basically impossible for anyone in the first half to survive that game. I think I would have preferred if there was a way for multiple final winners, which was hinted all the way only for it to come down to a 2-player final game with winner takes all.

I liked the twist of who was actually running the game. I should probably have guessed but it didn't occur to me and so was a nice surprise. I saw the masked man twist coming, and the policeman will definitely survive and be back for S2.

I just finished Squid Game today and I agree with you at basically every part although I wasn't a big fan of the twist. Overall I think it was an amazing series and if there is going to be a Season 2 I'm really wondering what the story is going to be.

Surely the main character isn't going to go back and compete again, that would be stupid. If there's a season 2 I really hope it isn't more of the same and it's a story told from outside by the main character and the police guy teaming up and trying to find where the squid game is held and basically demolishing it all for good.

I think a Squid Game season two is more likely to revolve around your second thought andthe main character trying to bring down the operation rather than compete again. Also, does anyone actually believe the policeman is dead?

I'm three episodes into Hellbound and it's pretty good. I was unsure after the first episode but the next two were better. Only 6 episodes total so well worth giving it a go.

Finished Squid Game at the weekend. Didn't think much to it at all. Beyond the thrill of games resulting in murder I do t see the appeal or why it's the biggest show ever. It's just so unspectacular.

I also just started the Bad Sport documentary series. It was about fixing college basketball in the 90s. A genuinely great hour of television, really made me end of feeling bad for the players who got caught up in it. Just a pity they didn't focus more on what a scam College Basketball is in general.

I don't understand why so many people watched and liked Tiger King, I couldn't even get halfway through the trailer before deciding it wasn't for me.

Its pure trash TV.

I'll be honest, I half watched it first time round when the missus had it on and I was playing Animal Crossing, but I gave it a proper watch this week and it's honestly compelling TV. It's well beyond Jeremy Kyle style 'look at these rednecks' type trash, it's literal insanity. I'm genuinely not one for trash or reality TV or anything like that and the sheer scope of the utter craziness did have me hooked.

Apart from breaking countless animal welfare laws, supplying meth to straight kids so they'd strawberry float him and trying to have a rival killed he didn't do that much wrong.
