torn muscle is simple - just add weight per week but go very slowly - any rush and you'll have to rest. for intermediate shoulders i'd recommend +2.5kg per week increase. dont go into more than 3-4/10 pain during a session.

K thanks.

As I just said in the depression thread so annoyed, was benching 20kg today and managed 2x6 before stopping. Pissing me the strawberry float off. Can't even run as it involves too much swinging of the arm.

Sole plus side is that my thighs are becoming beastly as all I do is front squats followed by cycling.

Wrist feels strawberry floated again. It doesn't cause me too many problems (It mainly hurts shifting gears when driving) but it's annoying as hell. Last time it felt iffy for months.

Anyone else getting heavy chafing on their inner thighs? Still can't do upper body work so overcompensating on the legs, gooseberry fool gets genuinely painful. They're pretty strawberry floating red raw right now.

Don't be too discouraged about your muscle tear. I tore a muscle in my lowerback and went on to become a record breaking Scottish Champion :datass:

How long did the recovery take for you? Is such a nightmare like, over two months and it's still completely out of action.

19.5k run and an hour of swimming today on two protein shakes and a chocolate brownie :dread: - I am far too excited for dinner. First half-marathon race is in 5 weeks - scarily close!

I took about a month off all lifting. Then a month of bench and sub 40kg squats. Then built it up gradually like a Stronglifts progression of 5kg a week.

Is the dry skin on the fleshy part (so just below the fingers) of my right palm down to me using dumbbells? I'm using plastic ones, they feel pretty smooth to the touch. I've bought some lifting gloves  to help protect the skin, (I've also started using moisturiser  ) but they're not making a huge difference. Left palm is fine. I'm thinking it's either the weights or the cold weather.

I wouldn't mind if it still looked like regular skin but was just all marked and gooseberry fool. But what I get when it's really bad, is that it looks kinda shiny and dry. And when my fingers curl up the pads *feel* all dry and crinkly. It's strawberry floating gross.

:fp: I probably will ditch these gloves though, as I bought a cheap pair and they feel like crap. I've seen some other ones which offer actual padding and they're only cost a fiver or so more.

To echo brer, don't wear gloves; they mean you probably won't be able to lift as much as they make gripping harder, and can strawberry float your technique when you're lifting heavily on lifts such as the bench. Which, trust me, is something you don't want. Don't wear gloves. Chicks find man hands hot.

Off to see a specialist doctor on Thursday about my shoudler, hoping to strawberry float he can help it. Managed to bench 30kg yesterday so improving ever so slightly...

Some of the gooseberry fool you hear in gym changing rooms :fp: - "Yeah man I've made more progress in a month than Eddie's made in a year. Take a photo of my traps for insta and tinder. That's why we do the gym. What else am I going to use it for? To pick up a PS3 controller more easily?"

I don't even...

I've been once in the last week and a half, it's just so strawberry floating busy at times it's really put me off. Going to just have to make the effort, but damn I can't wait until my contract has run out so I can find somewhere else.

My knees have been given me some trouble recently so I'm going to squat with my knee sleeves today and see how it goes. Works out well actually cause I'll be doing sets at 160kg for the first time in a while so nice bit of extra support.

Jesus strawberry floating christ. Spent 4 hours at a specialised sports doctor today, the torn muscle I got back in December's gotten infected which is why the pain won't let up. Unbe-fucking-lievable. Cannot strawberry floating believe how unlucky I am with health issues.

I'm actually beginning to wonder if he mistranslated and meant inflamed. Infected shoulders require immediate operations whereas he's just given me a bunch of NSAIDs and prescribed me a month of physiotherapy. So thankfully much better assuming that's the case. Still gonna be a while out though like.
