Well, it's been a while. But here's an update:

1 Year ago:

Yesterday:

I do PT every Monday, I 'run' a T-25 class 4 days a week at work now (Tue - Fri) and usually have 2 - 4 others join in from work.

I also do weights at the gym 3x a week (Mon/Wed/Fri) and changed my diet (see below):

Image

I've put on 1 stone of solid muscle, my arms are getting stuck in some t-shirts now and I'm now almost hypertrophy benching my own bodyweight. :toot: :toot:

Suffice to say I'm a LOT fitter than I used to be.

I'm off on holiday with the family to Dubai soon, so really putting in the effort for the best beachbody I can muster.

Have barely played any games in the last 6 months, but I think I *really* needed the break from them. Roll on new house and garage gym building time!

Need to switch up my routine as my progress has slowed (stopped...), bar my deadlifts which are up to 150kg. Tempted to give PHUL a try, the first two days have much lower reps which should help me increase the amount I lift, the hypertrophy on the second two days should make me nice and sore.

Managed to do both chins and pull ups full RP sets unassisted now. Small achievement but nice to see improvement. May look into getting a belt/chain so I can add weight on those and dips. Are they quite cheap?

Enjoying the new routine, seeing some improvement even though I haven't been doing the full 4x a week every week. Also could improve my diet.

I use this one and it does the job:
http://www.amazon.co.uk/MADX-Madx-Dippi ... pping+belt

The chain is kind of short, so if you have multiple plates sometimes they can pinch your knob skin. :dread:

First day of PHUL today. strawberry float me, doing incline dumbbell bench straight after flat barbell bench was brutal. Still getting used to the weights and rep ranges, but I think I'll make good progress.
Bench - 70kg
Incline dumbbell bench - 2X20kg
Bent over row - 75kg
Lat pulldown - 90kg
OHP - 45kg :x
Barbell Curl - Whatever the strawberry float an EZ Curl bar weighs + 25kg
Skullcrushers - Same

It feels so strange to have my upper body feel strawberry floated but my legs feel fine.

First day of a pure leg workout :dread:

Actually went OK.

Back Squat - 105kg
Deadlift - 150kg
and some other gooseberry fool.

Had two people 'mirin my deadlift. Personally I don't think 150 is that impressive, but there aren't that many in my gym who go that heavy.

Cheers for the suggestion FE, out of stock at the moment annoyingly.

My gym does have one but it is almost impossible to find the belt and chain available at the same time, and i imagine a lot more hygienic to use your own.

Out of interest what protein powder do most people here use (of those who do use it)? I normally go for MyProtein impact whey as it seems to be the best overall value. Need some more soon so thought I may look at other options.

I've put on two stone. strawberry floating gutted. I've been hitting the gym but not as much, and my diet has gone to absolute gooseberry fool. I don't get it, I did so well controlling myself for most of last year and now I can't stop myself eating all sorts of rubbish, all the time.

Did you cut out that kind of food all together, or did you still indulge occasionally?

Nah, I always had two days off every week to eat what I wanted.
