I decided to be a Timmy Two Teams like Cora, and went to see a non-league game on a bit of a whim, finding myself with nothing to do today. I saw City of Liverpool Vs Ashton Athletic and had a good time. CoL had a poor first half and went into the break 1-0 down.

The Purps came out much stronger in the second half and got a penalty early on, and then scored a great team goal. They continued to have chances in the second half, with done great saves from the Ashton keeper. The game finished 2-1 to the Purple Partisans.

Bonus clip of the penalty from your man at the TDF Stadium.

We should migrate GRcade to Flarum. :toot:

Charlie is the Derby supporter who was abused by a scummy Forest 'fan' a while back. Nice gesture by the club. :-)

Fair play to Forest for that.

I know I'm always pessimistic for these games but considering our recent performances I am particularly nervous for this evening.

We've held the Brian Clough Trophy for over 1,000 days and I don't want to let it go now .

I was looking at Premier League records earlier today. Do you know why Derby did so bad in the 2007-8 season. I thought they would have finished 6th or something, but they came 3rd and were pretty close to the automatics.

Am just wondering because I'm wondering how Norwich will do next season, and whether sticking with the same players and style might horribly cost us. Not that I'm counting eggs or anything.

We fluked our way up the table throughout the season, scraping 1-0 wins with a terrible style of football. We bought awful players and went into the Premier League led by a man who wished he was managing Preston North End instead.

Forest scored very early and have since sat back, safe in the knowledge that we are utterly woeful in attack and incapable of fashioning a chance to score.

Poor performance so far. Both teams giving the ball away a lot and getting caught up in petty arguments.

That was one of the worst games I've ever seen.

I suppose we had to lose to them at some point. Both teams were diabolical.

I wonder if it's too late for us to get relegated.

Of course it is, stop being silly (you're bloody seventh for christ's sake).

I don't have any objection to discussion of Derby being relegated.

Watched us beat the Sheep from an Irish bar in Temerife last night. Thought we were deserved winners. Lots more shots and should have won by more (3-1 at least) as Derby #9 should have scored when chipping Pants, but Murphy's 1 on 1 and Lolley shot onto Yates head that just missed should all have gone in.

According to stats on Flashscores, we had 15 shots vs 6. Doesn't sound like a team sitting back to me!

Anyway, well done Forest! The BC cup is back where it belongs

I don’t really care about Forest or Derby, but Forest winning kept Derby from overtaking us which is good. But puts Forest right on our heels which is bad.

Can’t we just dock them both 10 points? :shifty:

>Erratic shot accidentally pinged off someone's face that was never on target
>'1 on 1' that didn't involve a shot at all
>Should have been 3-1

I mean, the commentary team repeated it many times and it was clear to anyone who watched the game that Forest sat back for 85% of it, but the important detail is that you were in 'Temerife' so let's not get caught up.

Trust me I am much more annoyed about my own team right now than any stats or approach Forest might have taken. We didn't deserve anything out of the game at all.
