Thirteen hours since the final whistle and still too angry to think straight at work. Stayed at PPM’s last night (oioi), and his first words this morning were ~ “I’m still strawberry floating angry”. If anyone needs a belly laugh, have a look at the Pompey game last night. The stadium turned against the manager in the space of 15 minutes. Going to five at the back to protect a lead against nine men. What the actual strawberry float are we doing here?

I’m clearly still too angry to formulate a coherent response to the game, so I’ll come back later.

Rooney's arrival in January is going to feel a bit of a damp squib when we're sat around the middle of the bottom half of the table...

Phillip Cocu's Derby County loses to Lee Johnson's Bristol City. Can Wayne Rooney's Derby County turn things around in January?

;)

I was ill as strawberry float yesterday and so have no idea about anything except the result.

I felt like that last week when Celtic played their best centre mid at right back in a must win Champions League qualifier. If we can see how stupid these decisions are, why can’t the people who are paid to see that?

First away win

Leeds 81st minute winner stopped us going top but I’m not too bothered, a great start to the season and we’re in the mix.

Ayew is a cut above this league. Two assists today and clearly the best player on the pitch. We’ve still got a week for him to leave (and Baston worryingly) but I really hope with all the McBurnie/James money we have, we keep him and suck up his wages.

Was at the game and was great, albeit a bit odd, to see Baston and Ayew starting (something like £33m worth of forwards on in the championship :slol: ) .

Garrick looked very lively when he came on. McBurnie was in with the away fans as well, at half time he was just getting mobbed by fans and beers getting chucked everywhere

Really sad about Junior, I remember watching him regularly. Never realised we were so close in age though.

Real shame. 40 is no age to die.

We wasted several very good chances and it felt like 80% of the game was played on the edge of your box, but at the same time the only reason we scored was because Marriott pulled a wonderful strike out of not very much at all, and there was just something so toothless about the overall performance that I hardly think we deserved to win.

We'll play worse and win, but if we can't play a lot better than that we're nailed on for a bottom half finish.

Didn’t see you complaining for your 2nd pen that clearly wasn’t handball. Good job Waghorn missed it.

There's not much to complain about as it didn't go in, is there, you absolute lettuce?

You must think it was a bad job West Brom converted theirs then.

Nothing Derby can do if a WBA is wrongly penalised for handball with no Derby involvement, but you can feel rightly pissed off if a WBA player simulates being fouled to win a further penalty IMO.

Decent draw against Cardiff yesterday but the lack of goals is concerning - think we’ve scored three in five league games or something.

Swansea making Birmingham look bloody stupid here - easily the better team.

Lovely win for the Swans, a very exciting start to the season!
