Hughton out? Seen quite a lot of your fans moaning about his defensive tactics.

We actually played okay yesterday, fairly unlucky to not win against a Stoke team that has had a solid season so far.

Still a very tame goal threat. Ibe finally got his much-anticipated return to action (albeit for five minutes at the end) and he was rubbish. Looks overweight and unfit. Apparently he's been struggling with mental health, so hopefully he is getting the support he needs.

Who will win the Derby/Forest relegation battle? :datass: or will we both lose?

Regards Forest, I just checked their recent results. Can you really blame Hughton for playing defensively when their last 6 fixtures have been against the current top six?! Let's get some perspective here.

And the results really are not that bad considering Bournemouth and Norwich are routinely scoring 3+ goals per game.

Bournemouth (a): 2-0
Swansea (h): 0-1
Watford (h): 0-0
Reading (a): 2-0
Norwich (a): 2-0
Brentford (h): 1-3

Hughton is a good manager, proven at Championship level. But he isn't an overnight miracle worker. When he came in at Brighton, we were languishing in or around the relegation zone; he had half a season to rescue us, which he did narrowly.

It was only after then, after the summer transfer window, that he was able to make the squad his own and when we occupied one of the promotion/playoff spots. He also kept us in the PL.

Forest fans need to be realistic - the club has been in disarray for what seems like forever off the field. Right now his task is to keep Forest in the Championship. He's already brought Knockaert and Bong with him and they are very, very good players in comparison to the standard level in the Championship.

If Forest stick with him and support him in the transfer market, he will have you fighting for the playoffs next season at the bare minimum. The football can at times be a little dour, but sometimes that's what it takes to win.

Except we've got no oomph going forward. All creativity has gone due to hierarchy loaning or selling them on. We can't break at speed and Watson is a huge loss in the CDM role.

I'm not a Knockaeart fan. Never liked him due to his theatrics. I haven't seen his sending off on Saturday but I've heard the 2nd yellow was for simulation in the box in the 93rd min or whatever. When were losing 3-1. No idea if he dived or not but wouldn't be surprised if he did. His loan comes to an end on 7 Jan and I hope we let him go. He is definitely not worth the high wages to keep as he's a luxury player when things are going well. He's not built for the scrap at the bottom.

He's not done anywhere near enough since coming in (like several I could name e.g. Freeman, Colback, Christie) and CH is portraying himself as inept in constantly picking the same core group of players week in and week out and expecting them to perform differently.

Yes we've played the top 6. We've managed a point in those games which is 1 more than I expected. I said a few weeks ago (possibly on here, or on Twitter) that we'd not get anything out of those games so I was almost right! I just think our confidence has now gone completely and we are absolutely 100% in a relegation fight for the rest of the season.

We play Sheff W tomorrow in a proper 6 pointer. They haven't won in 8 i think. We have lost at least 5 of the last 6. Cba checking back further its too depressing.

Where you are at Xmas is where you will be at season end. We'll be in bottom 4 or 5 all season i reckon. We just have to hope there are 3 teams worse than us and I'm not convinced there is or will be.

Might be worth putting a quick bet on Wimbledon tonight, Sunderland have just announced eight first teamers are out with Covid.

No clue why it's going ahead to be honest.

They shouldn't be out, they should be at home self isolating. :x :shifty: :P

Well knowing Sunderland had all those players out takes the shine off the draw. We looked like the better team though even though we didn't have that much possession.

Meh, I'll take the point after the Charlton disaster. We're not great at holding a lead though are we?

Yeah at least we got something out of the game. We need to get better at defending.

Big game tonight against Reading. Win and we start to put some distance between us and 3rd/4th (depending in what Swansea do), lose and it all bunches up again. Players coming back from injury now, hopefully Krul back on Saturday which will greatly improve our team.

Well we were dreadful. I'd struggle to name a Swans player that played well there although equally I'd struggle to name a Derby player that played badly.

What a result :msgreen:

Looked back to our old selves tonight. Especially in the first half. I can't believe what an iconic signing Colin Kazim Richards is proving to be .

No hard feelings Tomous and BTB. You have to understand how desperate we were for the points!

You were well deserving of the points. Won the game by half time, only one team in it. Second goal was very well worked too.

If you'd offered me beating Cardiff but losing today because we wouldn't be up for it id have taken it....

Great result after a frustrating night tonight. And the Blackburn game was much the same.
