Scott Parker appointed Bournemouth head coach after leaving Fulham

Scott Parker has taken over as head coach at Bournemouth on a three-year contact after leaving Fulham.

The former England midfielder, 40, took over at Fulham in February 2019, but could not stop them being relegated from the Premier League that season.

He guided them to promotion back to the top flight via the play-offs in 2020, but they came down again last season.

I didn't see that one coming. Thought he was pretty committed to Fulham.

It's just been confirmed that the EFL has determined it has "insufficient grounds" to appeal the decision, so that means we're not getting relegated. Yay.

We are still massively strawberry floated and have no players, but at least next season we'll be relegated into League One instead of League Two. :toot:

While I’ll kind of miss the glamour of the Premiership, I’m kind of glad to be back in the championship though, don’t see us going straight back up next year but who knows, depends how many players we end up selling!

I'm torn between feeling the same as Moggy, or being happy at the prospect of getting 6 points off you this season, and watching you remain 24th all season when the inevitable points deduction is surely applied for breaching Profit & Sustainability or whatever its called these days for the 3 years you've got to refile accounts for.

Suppose it drags out the pain a bit longer this way

It will obviously be massively gooseberry fool but I'm sort of assuming the main danger of folding altogether has at least been staved off for the time being. Could be very wrong.

Not sure how Rooney will feel about planning for 2022/3 in League One before 21/22 has even begun :slol:.

A very interesting way of launching a new shirt alongside some new players. If the Football League let us field players like that, then we'll be unstoppable.

I'm hoping for a nice upper mid-table finish for Luton this year with maybe a slight push for play-offs.

The new stadium should start being built so that's good news but may mean we can't splash the cash on transfers, not that we ever do anyway.

9th will be a great season.

Looks like Moggy’s lot are playing my other lot in a friendly tonight at Ashton Gate. We’ve won our first two, let’s see how this one goes.

You have so many teams, it's impossible to tell who you are talking about.
