I hadn't heard that they were in trouble.

They only got taken over a month ago. I wonder if the new owners are gambling on them avoiding the drop even with the points deduction (they've just won 3 on the bounce) and then being able to write off the debt they've taken on.

You're probably about to see 10+ clubs go into administration.

They’re only eight above the relegation zone at the moment. Hell of a gamble.

A whole bunch of League 1 and 2 clubs. So many of these clubs run hand to mouth, they can't really hope to run properly with 4-5 months of no crowds.

It was strongly rumoured that Sunderland are in big (well, bigger) financial trouble than what they’re letting on. They released their academy manager the other day, and are staggering ticket refunds over a 6-8 week period. People up here think it’s genuinely inevitable.

Will be a domino effect if a few start going too. Transfer fees are rarely paid upfront. Every club that has paid transfer fees or received transfer fees over the past few years will have balances outstanding.

Is Broken Leg Man still involved with Wigan?

No he recently sold the club. Within months they are facing administration. Say what you like about Dave Whelan, but he's definitely a solid owner.

Not so solid in FA Cup finals though.

I feel for Wigan, you hate to see clubs going into administration. Weirdly they always seem to get a result against us - they even officially put us out of the EPL back in 2012.

Things sound pretty bad up there.

Sad to see this happening to Wigan (otherwise known as Portsmouth FC 2016-18). Hoping they manage to stay up and get through this.

The staggering of refunds is happening with other large companies too I’m not sure it’s that unusual it just prevents all your cash going straight out straight away as annoying as it is. If they hadn’t strawberry floated up the refund policy or tried charging people £30 for a stream more people would have kept their tickets with them.

Reid going to me was the right decision. His records terrible in my eyes.

There last Company House filling was from 2018 and they appeared to have lost 26 million.

Wasn’t £20 million of that the write off of money owed to the club by Donald & Co for purchasing?

Why? Surely you want your team to win?

Tasty fixture. Derby really have to win to keep pressure on the playoffs, we only have to not lose really to maintain our cushion over 7th.

Reckon there’ll be a few goals. 2-1 Forest is my prediction
