That's a shame, I wanted Sheffield United to come back up. Although Luton was my first choice. Onto the league two semi's then. Come on Cobblers!!!

Yeah sorry Robbo, your boys were better than us in the second leg, though I think we were probably the better side over two legs. Harsh to lose a match like that.

Forest fan has disgraced the club by knocking Billy Sharp out during the pitch invasion.

I don't think it's hyperbole in this instance to say he could've killed him. That's a sickening headbutt. Seems he's alright which is good.

I'm surprised this isn't bigger news at the moment. Hardly getting a mention most places.

What a massive twat. Clearly thick as gooseberry fool for a) doing that in the first place and b) surely knowing full well that doing something like that in front of TV cameras and thousands of people will mean you're likely to get caught/banned/punished. Although I guess being that dumb means he probably didn't even think about consequences for his actions.

I'm surprised it doesn't happen more often given the number of pitch invasions and the lack of protection for players and managers. Nothing ever really gets done though, and I imagine it'll just continue until someone gets seriously injured, or worse.

Pictures going round of what appears to be the guy. Looks like your typical pissed up gammony twat. Hope he gets sent down for it, Billy Sharp is very well liked at Forest after his spell here.

Love him! He’s active on Twitter tonight....

Got home at 12.30 having stayed in the ground till 11 with my kids. We weren’t on the pitch as we’re seated in an upper tier.

Shocked to see the assault on Billy Sharp. Believe the pics which have been widely shared of the bloke in long sleeved yellow top are not the guy involved. Whoever it is I hope he is locked up for a long time. No excuse for anything like that. He is not a true NFFC fan.

Notts Police are already circulating this..

Anyway. Wembley bound !!! :toot: It’ll be my 1st visit to any game at Wembley and will be taking my kids, and hopefully the missus too! Booked hotel whilst in the stands after the game tonight. Match tickets next whenever they go on sale

Forest were definitely the better team over the 2 legs, but we gave it a good go last night, was actually a really entertaining game! Much like Forest in the first leg, we did miss some really good chances that you need to be converting at this level. I did say we’d bottle it though  Samba pulled off some cracking saves. I’ll be strangely sad to see Gibbs-White go back to wolves as well, he’s been absolute class at points this season.

I missed the Billy Sharp incident though as I turned it off as soon as Forest had won, hope he’s alright, obviously no need for it.

Biggest day in the club's history for 25 years and all today's headlines should be about Brice Samba but old Johnny strawberry floating Dickhead from Clifton has definitely taken the sheen of it. And to target Billy Sharp as well who seems like one of the most decent blokes in football. I hope he ends up in court.

EDIT: Notts police have arrested someone.

I am not in any way suggesting that it's justified when you lose. But what the strawberry float would that dickhead have done if Forest had lost?

Well done Forest. Didn't catch the game as we're all ill and the parents here will know how much fun that is through the nights with a baby :dread:.

Wouldn't let the violent criminal take the sheen off anything. The important thing is Sharp seems to be okay, the attacker has been arrested and will be banned from the City Ground for life. Does make you wonder what on earth goes through some people's minds.

The bookies have Forest as clear favourites for the final, even though the invulnerability seems to have worn off a little bit these last few games.

Everyone seems optimistic around Derby as this takeover does appear to be all but done, although I can't shake the feeling it's an aggressive move by Kirchner to pile public pressure on Morris, who doesn't have to agree to the stadium sale if he doesn't want to, but probably doesn't want to go down in history as the man who destroyed Derby County...

Pleasantly extremely surprised that Rooney and the other players do seem genuine in their wish to stay on. Many of them, Rooney included, could easily walk into another Championship club. An unusual, unexpected, very welcome display of loyalty.

I hope it works out for you but there is too much of the whiff of a Munto finance about Kirchner for me.

Oh definitely. We're obviously gobbling it up as the only option to avoid liquidation (although apparently Mike Ashley wants back in now ).

I wouldn't wish Ashley on anyone but you at least know that he's got the money and the nous to run a sustainable football club. But I can't imagine he would want the debt so he's as likely to liquidate DCFC just to get the ground and then start from scratch as he is to save the club. Literal rock and a hard place at the moment.
