Didn't Portsmouth Pirates notch a win at the weekend? Or did I imagine that?

Check out my YouTube channel!
One man should not have this much power in this game. Luckily I'm not an ordinary man.

Why did the trust sell to Eisner (and is this the reason for the disconnect?)?

Its a complicated situation because the fans agreed the sale overwhelmingly.

Basically Kenny Jackett (the manager) gas had three full seasons to get the team up, and has failed to do so, with the team not only not turning up in games, but bizarre tactical choices being made just for the playoffs. The season ends, and everyone and his cat expects the manager to go. He doesn't.

Fans ask why and the club claims Covid has made things too unstable, saying it will cost 400k to sack him with one year left. So we are stuck with a manager playing quite wieful football having already had three years of it. If the fans had been able to be in stadiums, they would have a huge protest on their hands, but because there usnt they are claiming its a 'small minority' of fans. They seem absolutely desperate to hold on to the manager and no one really understands why, because they HAVE paid fees for players.

Portsmouth being in the playoffa in League 1 is a bit if a no brainer, so achieving that isnt achieving much at all, but they seem to see it as some big achievement. Irs all very underwhelming, and stadium news is much the same.

On the flipside, if we had been fan owned we'd be really struggling now as we wouldnt have had the funds to fix the dilapadated stadium in Covid times and importantbrepairs have been made by the Eisners. I'd like to see just a *tiny* bit more adventure and investment because we could get into the Championship. Our team is so, so crap at the moment and we're still eighth!

Can't see either of us ending up in League One but it's going to be a long slog of a season.

Friday’s game is not going to be pretty is it?

Doesn't look like it. But not even in an interesting way, like the good old Clough v Davies days, rather in a sort of embarrassing playground scrap.

Decent game that, to be fair. Good performance from both teams.

Didn't know Forest had landed Knockaert. He looked absolutely unplayable for 10-15 minutes after he came on then weirdly seemed to disappear.

Happy with that anyway. Still think we're playing too well to be in an actual relegation battle.

We bumped into Richard Keogh the other week. I didn't realise he'd ended up at MKD until I was doing a bit of research in the week before the game.

Absolutely loved that man for years. One of the most stupid people I think I've ever seen when he would attempt to string a sentence together — I can't imagine the conversation was much to get excited about?

He could have gone down as a club legend. What a strawberry floating idiot. :(

 - Should clarify - when I say "bumped into", I meant "Pompey played against". I wouldn't recognise him from Adam on the street

Oh right  that's quite a drastic departure from the meaning of the phrase where I'm from!

Lovely win against Stoke, very strong performance in the first half, so obviously I was expecting it to end 1-1. But thankfully Palmer was willing to take a punch to the face to score the second to put the game to bed.

Also nice to see an indirect free kick. Don't see enough of them.

Thought the keeper should have been sent off for that challenge on Palmer.

Any early season optimism has completely gone with these last two games. Desperately poor.

Can't believe Wimbledon won tonight. Blackpool looked the better team but somehow we managed to hang on and win. Even when they went down to 9 men they had the better chances.

If you told me 12 days ago Pompey would win the next three games and score 9 goals I would have laughed in your face.

They're certainly getting a slice of it now, don't think there's any topping that announcement!

In fact I guess you could say that a pizza delivery chain has decided to sponsor a lower league football tournament!

Must have had to cough up a lot of dough for that deal.

At least whoever wins it will get a 2nd trophy up to the same value for absolutely free.
