Technically his contract has ran out and we are just not renewing it.

Not that there are many on Teesside upset at the news. Next appointment is important. Monk didn't work out and he took most of our parachute payments and splurged them on ill-fitting players.

Pulis actually did alright last season. He came in on Boxing Day and we did improve and look more solid. Unfortunately we were so abjectly meek in the play off semi-final and you could see how the goals were starting to dry up at both ends.

This season I think we were actually the team that spent the fourth highest number of days in the top two outside of Norwich, Leeds and Sheff Utd, and we spent something stupid like three weeks outside of the top six (once in the first week, and then two at the end). That papered over a lot of the cracks, as even as automatic slipped away due to us simply not having the firepower or dominating teams, fans were at least accepting that we'd get in the play offs.

Even better, that should mean the horrible little prick doesn’t even get a payout. :toot:

I see that Sunderland have reached the League One playoff final, hopefully they'll be able to become the first team since 2006 that finished 5th and managed to get promoted.

I would expect Charlton to win the final (I would be saying the same if we'd gone through last night).

Pretty sure they will. Pretty unlucky to have conceded a goal.

It will sound like sour grapes (and it really isn't, we were very poor over two legs) but I will be very suprised if you beat the winners of the other semi final. Except for McGeady, incredibly average. Unfortunately our McGeady got taken away in January!

If Donny somehow get through I'll be quietly confident. I went to our game against them on Good Friday and with the exception of one penalty shout, they offered nothing. It was a comfortable win.

Who am I kidding though, it'll be Charlton. :dread: McGeady might not even be available for Wembley by the sounds of it. Praying for Lyle Taylor getting sent off tonight.

Are Charlton still owned by that twat who wanted to sell the club to the FA?

Why do you hate Villa more than Derby?

He's a weird one. I dont mind forest. Imagine rooting for your local rivals. I would die before I root for those over the road. hilarious

Yeah I will reluctantly be cheering Villa on. If nothing else I enjoy the Forest / Derby banter on here, and that'll be gone if they go to the Prem.

Derby aren't my local rivals, Villa are as I've lived near Birmingham almost my entire life. I've supported Forest for 42 yrs and hated Villa for approx 40 of those. Long before Derby

Villa arent your rivals. You're not a blues fan. It's like me saying Celtic are my rivals cus I was born in Glasgow even though I support villa.

Your teams rival is derby. You're rooting for your rival next weekend because you hate villa for some weird reason.

My rival team is the team nearest to where I was brought up. Don’t feel ashamed it’s not your team.
Trust me, I’d rather not have to support Fat Frank and his bouncing muppets but that’s the way of the world.
Now I know how Man U fans felt last weekend having to choose between City or Liverpool

Were you actually? And if so, Gabby Agbonlahor once played a game for Celtic and you should definitely support them.
