Do you think we still have Karanka's number lying about somewhere?

I don’t think he’ll take the call.
MON wasn’t, and isn’t, the right man for us. I said it at the time but he had my full support when appointed. But, having been to many of his matches, I can’t see any way he is driving us forward as a club. Why Carvalho has been largely frozen out when he was one of the leading assisters in the league is a mystery. Sure, he’s young and still acclimatising to the English way of playing, but the guy has undoubted skill and vision. Some of his passes demonstrate a footballing brain way ahead of his years. I think he’ll leave in the summer if MON is still there. Out of the 2, Carvalho must stay in my mind.

I could rant on but I won’t. I’ll be at Saturdays game v Blackburn as usual, as well as Easter Monday v Boro giving my support, more out of habit than expectation.

I’ll be amazed if we get 3 points out of those games. Brereton to score a 90th min winner is almost guaranteed on Saturday I’d say as he hasn’t scored at all for BRFC yet I think.

To think, I’ve renewed 3 season cards already for next season. When will I learn?

Dan James is on fire at the moment! Another goal and got 2 Stoke players sent off yesterday

Off to QPR v Swansea on Saturday, hopefully we can make it 4 wins in a row!

I only watched first half and then played 5aside, saw McBurnie's goal but didn't even realise this had happened :slol:

James is 100% going to the PL in the summer. Question is which club and how much we get for him. Year left on his contract will mean someone gets him for a steal I fear.

I genuinely feel like I aged 10 years watching that, couldn't have been any more authentic of a villa viewing experience.

A wins a win but that was more of a stuggle than I'd have liked!

Can still see us ballsing it all up and missing out on the playoffs yet though!

Great win today for Villa.

Leaves the playoff race in our hands now as neither Bristol nor Derby can catch us with their games in hand.

Yep, but of a nervy finish when Bristol brought a goal back but good to see it out - we played some really good stuff as well which is always nice to see!

Still need to keep this up as I think those last two games will be hard to get the points from so it would be good to not need them!

Derby and Bristol still have to play each other as well.

I think if we can beat Bolton and Millwall, then I'm hopeful that will be enough.

Not taking anything from today, considering the circumstances Bolton find themselves in.

Blackburn

Also just realised we have two games after the Bristol City game  :fp:. I thought that was the last day of the season. We'll need maximum points from the next two (Blues and QPR) if we've any hope of a playoff spot.

Shame we couldn’t get a point today, but we’re still in the playoffs with a game in hand. I’d have bit your hand off for this at the start of the season.

Reports say that Joey Barton attacked the opposition manager in the tunnel today. That twat will never learn. :fp:

I suspect I'm going to be bloody sick of Pompey after this season, you'll either pip us to second place or beat us again at Wembley in the play-offs.

Well that went horribly....

2 goals down in 6 mins, 3 down in 20 :fp:

Couldn't deal with the high press QPR applied and again failed to deal with set pieces/long balls. Didn't realise how bad our away form was compared to our home form.

But 1st time at Loftus Road and Elis James was in the row behind me so not an entirely awful day out.

I sincerely hope so. Preferably the former.
