Watching the Luton v Huddersfield playoff 1st leg. Quite entertaining. 2 pens not given (1 each, 1st inside 8 secs of start of game and probable red card too) which VAR surely would have if only it was implemented for the semis.

You just know 1 team out of the 4 of us in them will suffer due to crap EFL officials and no VAR. At least it'll be used in the Final

1-1 at the mo. How's Peter C doing I wonder?
I'm already nervous for tomorrow's game

Not the best result but not the worst.

I think we may scrape through with a 2 2 draw on Monday and then it's the coin flip that is the final.

There's no away goals rule in the play offs

I'm oddly relaxed about today. Just get the feeling it's going to be one of those typical cagey play off first legs, probably 1-1 or 0-0. I'd even be comfortable with a narrow loss; for the first time in who knows how long, I'd be confident in our game management taking that into the home leg.

On a train this morning to Leeds at 9.30 (going to arcade club with the kids) and it was rammed with Forest fans. I'd be surprised if there was much of Sheffield left by 3pm.

I am hoping for a Forest v Luton final.

I can already tell I was wrong about the cagey 0-0 stuff

Barely been able to watch any of the match today but the few bits I’ve seen we’ve not looked great, the current 2-0 scoreline is probably accurate of the relative performances. Knew we’d bottle it, we always seem to bottle it in the play offs  I don’t think we’ve actually ever gone up through the play offs.

Edit, from the small amount I’ve watched it looks like we’re a completely different team to the one who beat Fulham 4-0, we started with the same line up as well :fp:

Pretty sure Forest have never gone up through them either, and have had some spectacular bottle jobs along the way. Winning the first leg 2-0 against Yeovil before losing 5-2.

I’ve no idea about Forest’s fortunes in the play offs, be nice if one of the eternal bottlers could go up this year then

Edit, at least we’ve got one back, be classic Sheffield United for us to now concede a 3rd though

Edit 2, although I think it was a handball :fp:

Howling at the number of Utd fans leaving with 10 mins to go in a play off first leg.

2-0 would have been a fair result imo, the late goal is frustrating but I'm confident going to the City Ground with any kind of lead.

We've bottled it plenty of times before, but there's something different about this team.

Yeah it’s ridiculous people leaving a game of this potential magnitude early, I don’t get why people do it for any game never mind a play off round. Only way we’ll go to Wembley is if we pull out a performance like we did against Fulham, I very much doubt that’s going to happen though.

Edit, I suppose one good thing is from what I’ve read it could have been a lot worse for us with how many chances Forest apparently had so maybe 2-1 at least keeps us in the tie somewhat.

We could have had 5 in the first half if we'd taken our chances, but that's how it goes.

It shows how much progress that we've made that we're complaining about winning 2-1 away at Sheffield United.
