You’re not the only one. It could be the start of something special. Or not.
But hey, standard Sunderland dictates that it won’t be a dull ride.

I think it's a really good competition and a shame the Under 23 teams are involved.

Yeah, but that was last years competition. You have to feel sorry for them that they didn’t get to celebrate being the current holders for more than just 24 hrs!

Also, will no one think about the poor trophy engraver? Had to do 2 in consecutive days!

'I’ll do the job for nothing' - Harry Redknapp offers services to Portsmouth but there's a catch.

Harry Redknapp has quipped he’s ready to step in as caretaker manager at Pompey – but only after the Cheltenham Festival is over.

Redknapp’s been mentioned by some supporters as someone who could hold the reins with 13 matches remaining.

Speaking to talkSPORT, the man who led Pompey to the top flight in 2003 and FA Cup glory five years laters says he’s ready for a third spell at Fratton Park.

In fact, he joked he will even work for free after the Cheltenham Festival finishes on Friday.

He said: ‘I’m ready – I’m getting bored!

‘I’ll walk up there tomorrow for nothing. I’ll do the job for nothing.

‘It’ll keep me busy and get me out of the house… anything! Although I can’t do it until Cheltenham is over!’

'arry.

Still not a bad offer though.

They basically want a caretaker until the end of the season, which is a little eyebrow raising to me as a team that fell to 10th last night (my god, we've become an Ipswich atm) but Redknapp probably isnt so unrealistic. Others sewm reluctant to take us just for 13 games.

Luton are doing pretty good this season. Staying up is the main goal and with 50 points that look like it's fairly safe.
I don't think going up would be all that helpful as we just don't have the money to begin to compete and I don't want the team to try and go on an unaffordable spending spree to try and screwing ourselves again.
I'd settle for upper mid table.

Up to 48 points now after back to back Easter wins 8-)
That should be enough to see us confirmed safe as it is I reckon, but a win vs Bristol C will surely confirm it on Saturday.

Glad I’m not a Birmingham, Cov, Huddersfield or Derby fan though as nerves must be running high if Rotherham do turn around and win a couple of their games in hand though!

Sheff W making a fist of it tonight vs Cardiff (so far anyway) but surely Sheff W are doomed along with Wycombe?

Told you Hughton would do a good job. Since that difficult run of fixtures against the top six just after he came in, Forest have P22 W9 D8 L5 which equates to 1.59 pts per game.

Once he signs some players he actually wants and get rids of some of those he doesn't, you could very well be challenging for the playoffs next season.

I doubt it. We haven’t averaged a goal a game this season. Drab, boring, defensive. Can’t see it changing that much next season.

Really can’t stomach another massive upheaval of 10+ unknown foreign or old journeyman players coming in, with the loss of 1 or more young stars (Worrall, Mighten?). We need to focus on building a young, hungry squad with a mix of experienced championship players which we have. Agree we need to get rid of several players and personally hoping we don’t spend huge money on signing Knockaert
