I was just coming in here to ask to be added to the list of Villa fans in the OP, but I doubt it's going to be worth it now as AVFC probably won't exist for much longer! :( :fp:

Don't worry, according to the transfer gossip Spurs want to buy Grealish and he's apparently valued at £40m.

I expect Grealish's value to rise or fall depending on the exact size of the financial hole. :slol:

40m for him would write off our FFP deficit at least.

I don't want him to go but if it means I still have a club to support and we're not docked points, I'll take it.

Yeah I don't think we're in a position where any player is necessarily valuable enough to keep if it means plunging us into financial disaster.

I am sure you can be added to the OP as a fan of “AFC AVFC”.

In all seriousness as much as I don’t like Gilla I hope these rumours aren’t true.

As far as I understand it - which isn't very far - but the FFP stuff is not the priority as it stands. Much more pressing than that is the seeming fact that there is no money coming into the club. Like, none.

For years we've been upheld first by Randy Lerner's and now Tony Xia's personal wealth; to the tune of something like £4 million pounds a month. Now, Xia has stopped - for whatever reason, Chinese Govt regulations, he's broke, whatever - and the whole thing is at risk of tumbling down.

It's dismal stuff really, and noone connected to Villa for a long time now looks to be blameless in my opinion. The club has been run appallingly.

I suppose all we as fans can do is hope that Xia is able to begin funding us again, one way or another. It looks like there is something happening over the next week accord to the stuff he has filed at Companies House - a bunch of new shares to be issued, maybe.

Anyway, when we sell Grealish for £95,000,000, everything will be fine.

I called off his players' names as they came marching up the steps behind him....All nice guys. They'll finish last. Nice guys. Finish last.

It’s all quite dramatic, this, isn’t it? Post-season goings on more interesting than any of the footy ever was.

It'll be interesting to see the full kit. I am not so excited about the Robin (too many teams are called "the Robins"!) but I like having the Suspension Bridge on there. :datass:

The coat of arms is the original badge, the Robin was introduced in the 70s and then the coat of arms brought back in the 90s.

I don’t hate the redesign, but I am not a City fan that is bothered by the Robin, like I said it is a highly unoriginal mascot/nickname/logo, especially in the West Country!!

I quite like it, it’s red, has a collar, reminds me of kits from the 90s. And it has 2 stars above the crest!

That’s a nice top, although the sponsor is awful, sounds like an insult.
