McGinn is ace! I love watching him play - he's like a seventies throwback the way he rats around for the ball, and he is remarkably good at getting it too!

But for all his battling and scrapping, he is really skilful and such an aware player - even when he is not dominating a game, the way he is so tactically solid is what (I think) will make him a good Premier League player.

And for 2.5 million!

Bad luck to Ob Bob and other Derby fans, I hope they get themselves promoted next time around.

I called off his players' names as they came marching up the steps behind him....All nice guys. They'll finish last. Nice guys. Finish last.

Bye lads. It's been emotional.

Fabian Delph is a banana split.

Phew. After last season I was worried that Villa would be in the Championship for a long time, as it's such a competitive league. Year-on-year improvement though since relegation and finally back in the PL. :toot:

Didn't feel particularly nervous ahead of the game - only really the last 15 mins or so. I like Derby though, hope they go up next year.
Will be really interesting to see what happens over the summer with our loanees and players whose contracts are up. And I like this thread better than the other one as well.

Why, because you're after Lolley? He's a good player but we were over-reliant on him last season. If the £10mil is wisely reinvested then I don't have a problem with it, especially if it means players like Carvalho get more of a crack.

I think he was asking because he obsessively hates Villa. Lolley is just a coincidence.

Yeah. What zell said. We are your "main" rivals remember

Got no beef with forest. Bar your manager. Would be good to see them back in the prem. But now I know kingk absolutely hates us..nah.

It feels like the season only just finished, but football is back this weekend. :toot:

Are you ready for another season of looking really good until the final 3 months of the season, before you inevitably fall into obscurity? :toot:

Are you looking forward to getting thumped 9-0 by Man City, Chelsea, Tottenham and Bournemouth before your inevitable relegation? :toot:

Looking forward to the season, even though we just sold our top scorer and only reliable striker from last season in McBurnie...

Did enjoy Swansea announcing a new signing shortly after it was announced that McBurnie was leaving... To reveal we are getting a goalkeeper on loan :slol:

No real indication but preseason has gone well and I'm looking forward to seeing what Steve Cooper can do with the team.

Good to see Sunderland's trend of constant 1-1 draws has continued into the new season.
