Seriously, it's a side of the game we haven't had since Davies was here, and in this league you need it if you're going to get anywhere.

The automated live comms on BBC

Penalty missed! Bad penalty by Sam Lavelle (Morecambe) right footed shot is too high. Sam Lavelle should be disappointed.

Penalty missed! Bad penalty by Shaun Miller (Morecambe) right footed shot is just a bit too high. Shaun Miller should be disappointed.

So harsh

Andre Ayew came on tonight and turned the game, scoring 2 goals.

Absolutely no guarantees he’ll last the month-if someone comes in offering a chunk of his wages he’ll be off...but if he stays, he’ll be a real threat in the Championship.

QPR away in a trophy no one is particularly fussed about. Yayyyyyyyy.

Also - Pompey haven't sold many of their allocation for Sunderland away on Saturday. It's almost as if moving the kick-off to 12:30 for the benefit of Sunderland and Sky has meant that not many Pompey fans want to leave at stupid-o-clock to get to a stadium we've played away at a ridiculous amount already this calendar year :fp:

Swear we've got Derby in either the FA or League cup like 5 times in the last 10 years :dread:

I remember thinking that a few years ago but I think it's been a while now? I realise I could easily Google it but where's the fun in that.

Interesting one for both our managers though — any other team and you could guarantee a full rotation, but now what do they do...?

Edit - typo, thanks Drummy!

If either manager decides to put out a less than full strength team, there will be blood

Ok, I was way off the mark. Last FA Cup game (and replay) was 2009 and last league cup meeting was apparently 1985.

Having gone to last nights game vs Fleetwood, only Brice Samba (GK) and Samba Sow (DCM) are likely to feature in a matchday first XI anytime soon I reckon, in addition to those who have already played in the league and featured last night (Silva, Ameobi, Worrall, Cash, Mir (who was poor btw)).

I'm away on holiday for this match unfortunately but will watch a stream if I can find one. Should be a full house under the lights of the WFCG.

Bring. It. On.

We've been largely dominant here for the majority of the game, but with the scoring threat of an fedora-wearing misogynist on Love Island.

Rooney's arrival in January is going to feel a bit of a damp squib when we're sat around the middle of the bottom half of the table...
