I was going to put this in the No Context thread, but it's exactly as weird with context.

It was one of those situations where context didn't really help the situation, but it felt right.

I'm very happy for you both.

Sickened to read up on the antics of our players. If the two of them are found guilty of drink driving I hope they're sacked immediately and never allowed within 10 miles of the ground again.

What a disaster this season is already turning out to be.

Wouldn't have happened to Frank Lampard's Derby County.

Probably a good idea, they might drive into it.

Strangely from the club statements, it seems like they're going to keep them and bring them back into the squad. I wouldn't want them anywhere near my team.

At least a Derby player finally got some points on the road wheeeeeey

Have you lads seen the Whatsapp messages from the son of the first responder after the crash? PPM showed me earlier... Richard Keogh tried to claim his name was Alfie and he'd only had a pint with lunch earlier in the day :fp:

I've not seen anything, just read a bit on forums etc. Share the wealth if you've got it.

Minty, that would be a decent joke if we hadn't taken 3 points from our very first away game of the season ;).

Agreed though, I don't want drink-driving cretins playing for my club.

Spoilered for quite a few, large images. A couple of which have blood in from the injury (not horrendous gore, but someone would complain if not in a spoiler box). Strong performance from Keogh.

Highlights: "A few of them tested positive for cocaine as well", "Keogh's card just got declined for £806", "Keogh tried to get the Chairman to tell people he did it in training and chairman said no", "Lawrence told the police he'd had a pint and a half at lunch time", "Keogh tried to say his name was Alfie and my Mum went no ya ain't you're richard keogh".

Some of this probably exaggerated for comedic effect. Maybe not, though:

Edit: It sounds like they had the accident, drove off in the other car away from the scene and forgot Richard Keogh who was unconscious in the back of the written off car. They had to drive back to the scene to get him, by which time police/ambulance were there :fp: :fp: :fp:

Apparently the leg photos in the above post might not be genuine, but the rest are (including the car picture).

The bar bill isn’t real.

That was Lampard’s tab after they beat Leeds 4-2 in the playoffs. I remember seeing it do the rounds on social media at the time-google “Lampard Derby bar tab” and you’ll find it.

This is exactly why we will never win a world cup, and why we didn't win one with Gerrard, Scholes, Owen, Cole, Rooney etc in the squad - because theyre all massive piss heads. I watched an interview with Roy keane the other day, and even he was a piss head! Thought he was totally dedicated. What a waste of talent.

This game is frantic. We're lucky to be 2-1 up, but only because it could easily be 4-4, 3-0 either way or any other score!

Only possible explanation Lawrence (starting) and Bennett (bench) are in the squad is because they're innocent until proven guilty. I fully expect them to be strawberry floated off the minute the guilty outcome is confirmed.

Aye. I expect it's the standard arrested, bailed until trial that would apply to anyone else. As soon as trial comes and they're found guilty, you'd think they're done. Which makes you wonder how motivated they can really be for the game. What's the fan reaction to them been like?

No reaction to Bennett as he's still on the bench.

Lawrence has been booed all game and had every mistake loudly cheered, but it's impossible to tell if it's coming from both sets of fans or just the home crowd.

Absolute bastard. Really should have won that in the end, had a few good chances to put it to bed and then somehow the ball goes through about 8 legs and into the net in the 94th minute.

Bolton? Madness  Could have been us, to be fair... although Pompey should have been aiming for more than stability this season, so I think Bolton...
