We’re in a similar situation I think. Tough run in with vague hope of play-offs.

I'm surprised we haven't seen more about the plans for next season. The last round of EFL matches looks it's the last full week of July. By the time you have the play-offs etc, we're going to already be at what would have been the start of next season.

They're surely going to have to condense next season somehow?

(They clearly should have just finished the season and had the play offs with the teams that are in there now :shifty:)

I’d have been ok with that to be honest, Minty.

Looks like Blackburn are playing Liverpool in a friendly to get match fitness up to scratch. Can’t wait to see Charlie Mulgrew up against Mohamed Salah.

We just might as well get our inevitable play-off disappointment over and done with.

The most likely outcomes are going out to Brentford in the Semis, or getting promotion after 20 years of waiting, in front of no fans. Either way, it's very on-brand Forest.

Are you confident of retaining your playoff place? From what I recall, you were in an awful run of form before the 'break'.

We were inconsistent, but not on a bad run of form. We're realistically 6/7 points clear in the play off spots when you consider GD, so even we should be able to eke out the rest of the season over 9 games.

I think the top 5 will pretty much stay as is and there'll be a battle for 6th. PNE were in bad form, but I don't think you can apply form at all now.

I’d be pretty surprised if Forest lost their place in the play-offs at this point, to be honest. It’s a fight between 6th and 10th for one place I think.

Today is the day of the vote for League 1 to decide what happens for the end of the season. Unweighted PPG looks most likely, which would mean we have Oxford in play off semi finals. Sunderland, Peterborough and Ipswich would all miss out on the playoffs.

I think the PPG is a really poor thing to implement. How can Rotherham be promoted in second when there is no guarantee they will finish in that position and to relegate Tranmere who are 3 points from safety.

The EFL have handled this whole thing poorly.

I honestly wish they'd been filming another season of STID this year. It would have been really interesting to see the behind-the-scenes through this entire shitshow of EFL decisions.

I feel extremely sorry for Tranmere. They had turned their form around and were slowly pulling themselves out of this mess. Even James Vaughan had found his level. Extremely unfair to relegate them. Liverpool women have gone down too, so it's a bad year for teams playing at Prenton Park :fp:.
