I'm very happy with mine. It runs brilliantly, and the dash charging is still a fantastic feature that I'd miss horribly if I ever had to go back to another phone.

I thought you could just buy the phone outright, unlocked for £329?

I don't have one (bought one for my son to replace his 3 year old Nokia 920). I have the OnePlus One and in comparison, the screen of the 3 looks nicer (colour wise) and the battery life he gets is brilliant compared to the OPO. I have to recharge every day where as he can do every other day or every third day at a push.

From 02? I can't see anything about that on their site.

It's £329 if you buy direct from OnePlus themselves, and unlocked.

Does anyone use the Amazon Prime Video app? I just downloaded most of Mr Robot, tried the phone in flight mode and it said I had no TV shows downloaded :| . Has anyone tried this? It must have downloaded something as it took quite a while.

Been really disappointed with my Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge, constant freezes and have had to hard reset about 4 times. Other than the nicer screen it's a worse performing phone than my HTC One M8.

So Samsung managed to cock it up again, and delivered the phone today instead of the agreed 3rd of October.

Its bittersweet - Great I've now got the device / gooseberry fool i had to come away from work to get it (at my expense)

This post is exempt from the No Context Thread.

Just looked on the O2 site, you can buy it pay as you go for £336, includes £10 top up.

Is the £10 top-up not extra rather than included?

I put it in my basket and it had a £10 top up and said total price £336.

Anyone with a Gear VR: I'd consider uninstalling Oculus for the time being. My phone went crazy yesterday after it auto updated to include Oculus Rooms: it was constantly hot (genuinely hot, like I was worried my case might melt), extremely slow and my anti-virus suspiciously kept telling me that Oculus Rooms was safe. Oh, and my battery went from 80 to 20 in 2 hours

Turns out it's a gooseberry fool release that gets stuck in an install loop, constantly deleting and installing, taking your CPU usage through the roof, draining battery and not allowing your phone to sleep. Get rid for the time being is the only solution at the mo.

Google are obviously going after the top end of the market with their new Pixel phones, rather than the decent value Nexus ones. £599 for the 5" 32GB model, and a whopping £819 for the 5.5" 128GB model. Presumably trying to compete more directly with the iPhone.

Even the design of the product page looks like it's ripping off Apple: https://madeby.google.com/phone/

I'm really not sold. I'm not interested in their big talking point, Google Assistant, because I don't want to use a voice activated thing, anyway, and it's barely any different to the existing Google cards. It's got a nice camera, video calling, (I already have Skype, why do I need a separate Google app?) a fingerprint unlock feature, a premium body, and fast charging. It's even got a load of case designs! Big whoop. These features are out there on plenty of other phones already. Very happy with my £309 OnePlus 3, thanks.

£819? strawberry float off at that price.
I paid about £570 for my 128GB Nexus 6P and that's probably the top end of what I'd pay for a sim free device. By the time you're hitting £800+ you're more or less negating the savings of going sim free over contract.

I am certainly glad I opted for the OP3 when I did (before the price hike)! I was half considering waiting for this and I'd have been devastated . I'm sure it'll be a cracker of a phone, but at a shade under twice the price for the base model... no thank you!

Provided the batteries don't explode then I might get whatever the follow up is to the S7 Edge since I get discounts on Samsung through work and keep my 6P until then.
At those prices Google have lost my custom, which is a shame because I love my 6P and Pixel C, and Google customer services were top notch when I though there was something wrong with my tablet.

Its basically exactly the same price as an iPhone 7.

Its not for me, but if you are in the market for a top of the range iPhone I don't know why you wouldn't consider this.
