He's supposed to be a role model for the younger generation. All I can see him inspiring is more breakfast cereal cafes.

He looks like a tool, but he's a good guy. I'd rather my lad (if I had one) had a Lewis Hamilton poster on his wall than basically any footballer, for example.

I see that photo and immediately think of the Harry Enfield sketch "Call me wanker".

Yes?

I quite like the Red Bull testing livery :D

I quite like the look of the cars this year they all seem to have some on a long way with the way they look, except the merc that doesn't seem to have changed a great deal.

Mercedes had such a large advantage at the end of last season that I guess it isn't surprising that the car looks very similar. Sky pointed out this morning that Hamilton is aiming to be the first British driver to ever successfully defend the title. I'd like to see him pull it off. But I want to see Williams in the mix and Ricciardo getting a decent cracking at the championship too.

I want a fightsy season, I would love it is Williams and RB have closed that gap over the winter and we get a proper battle of a season. I can only assume RB have something clever up their sleeve they want to hide hence the camo livery.

In awesome season of close battles would be amazing.

Vettel seems doing very well with Ferrari during the testing. I know the lap times mean strawberry float all, but somehow I got a feeling he will be a dark horse to challenge the Mercedes. :shifty:

They could have found a way. Lotus did, with the old JPS colourscheme.

The new Nissan LMP1 car is mental

Nissan has unveiled their new GT-R LM NISMO to compete in the 2015 World Endurance Championship and the 24 Hours of Le Mans.

To call it “radical” would be an understatement: the car is a front-wheel-drive, front-engine prototype, powered by a 600hp twin-turbo V6. The gearbox is also connected to flywheels capable of sending up to 1,000hp to the rear wheels in “three second bursts” – although those rear wheels will be nearly half as wide as those in the front. Needless to say, there has never been anything quite like this on a race track before.

I know they could but unless they're being secretly bankrolled like Ferrari were by Marlboro in the first few years after the smoking advertising ban, all that's happening is they're advertising (through nostalgia) someone else's brand for free.

I don't Beleive for one minute that tobacco money wasn't somehow finding its way to lotus to run that scheme.

Here's a good article on it:

You could argue they're still doing I as their current logo nods to the red and white chevron.

Hadn't even thought of that. Not a bad shout.
