Stop changing the rules, formats, specifications during the season. If something isnt ready for the start of the season then wait till next year.

Totally agree. They shouldn't be making format changes during the season. It sounds like Ecclestone gave the teams an ultimatum too between reversing the top 10 (also horrific) or a compromise. So they chose a shitty compromise. F1 needs to get rid of Bernie as he is running this too much like a reality show now.

I have a feeling this will get shelved until 2017.

Drivers meeting w race director Charlie Whiting on new qualifying & other matters. First time they've been consulted

Jennie Gow ‏@JennieGow
Spoken to a couple of drivers about the meeting tonight to talk quali…they aren’t happy largely. “This should be fun” said one to me. #F1
I actually had to tell JB that the rules had changed again as he was unaware of todays developments before the meeting was called. #F1

Drivers united against new F1 qualifying system

If the drivers have any balls they should just refuse to go out for qualifying - FOM would look pretty stupid with an hour of empty track.
Unfortunately it is not likely to happen

Ferrari test the new Halo device.

Doesn't look intrusive at all, and double win it would have made no difference in the bianchi crash apparently.

The centre support looks like it would be annoying driving at slow speeds let alone at high speeds with cars around you. Early days yet though.

Also, and I don't care how strong they claim to make it, but I have a horrible vision of another car in a big crash clipping it heavily and causing the bar itself to move across the driver's helmet, causing critical injury.

Not hugely early days as it is coming in next year.

Bravo F1, looks utter banana split, but hey more advertising space right?! Think of all the hashtags you could put on there.

It's the worst possible solution they could have come up with. Its going to turn fans off in droves as its the most ugly addition to cars since winglets.

They should have gone for a fighter pilot style canopy if they really wanted cockpit protection. It would at least look cool.

This was a crazy race from the V8 supercars in Adelaide rain street circuit and a thunderstorm on Sunday.

Wow, I did not expect to see Murray Walker back, he's pretty ancient now. That's quite the lineup - taken up mostly by Webber's and Coulthard's chins though.

Lewis has some of the worst fashion sense going, he really does. His forehead is also in competition with Anthony McPartlin.

He'd look so much better if he shaved it all off and just put on a suit.
