I think what happened is a car lost control just after Eau Rouge, hit the wall and rebounded back into the circuit. Hit side on by another car at full speed (which is damn high after that corner). One of the cars looked like it had been cut in half. I don't want to watch it again until I've heard both drivers are safe, tbh. Wouldn't recommend it until that news is out.

Just seen on Twitter that F2 have confirmed Hubert was sadly killed in the crash, thoughts to the guys family

Yeh - it's just been confirmed: https://www.fia.com/news/statement-inci ... ncorchamps

Absolutely dreadful. I recommend never watching it.

Definitely not going to intentionally watch it, must have been horrific.

Yup that is exactly what happened. Imagine Hubert was in the car that went off after Eau Rouge before coming back onto the circuit. Absolutely devastating. :(

Horrendous news. He was so young and very talented. There is literally nothing they can do to prevent that kind of fatality. Yet another reminder of the age old saying that motor sports are incredibly dangerous.

I watched the crash before the full news hit and it is indeed a pretty bad crash and I think what made it all the more surreal is the DJ just kept the upbeat music going for what seems to be ages after the incident.
I don't think anyone was at fault and it seemed like a racing incident in that after hitting the barrier he went out onto the track and got hit again by someone who couldn't avoid him.

All in all a terribly sad accident and a horrible day for sport.

It's mind games, he knows Ferrari will relay that to him and then hell start pushing and using his tyres up.

How will Ferrari steal LeClerc's victory today?
