I’d love to see JEV have another go in F1, he’s doing really well in Formula E and WEC at the moment. I still think it was harsh to promote Kyvat to Red Bull over JEV back in 2015 anyway, sadly I doubt many teams would take a chance on him at this point.

Looking at Red Bull at the moment, i think they probably should have given Gasly a second season at Toro Rosso and brought in Kvyat for the main seat as the latter has generally had a much better season so far.

Also, regarding Paul Ricard, just think how much better the track would look if it had grass and gravel trap run offs (not to mention the removal of all those extra layouts).

Ferrari have dropped the ball so bad this year with the car. Mercedes are as unchallenged as Ferrari were in 2002.

Only thing to really come out of this race is that Gasly should be losing his seat.

Two 5-second penalties for Ricciardo drops him down to 11th, Kimi up to 7th, Norris gets 8th and Gasly creeps into the top 10.

Well...that was an uneventful race. And those were the supposed ‘highlights’. :dread:

Watched the highlights and almost fell asleep, the only mildly good bit was when Ben Edwards described 'Raikkonberg'

Then of course, we get a little bit of good racing right at the end, only for it to be spoiled by another bullshit penalty.

This is the worst F1 season we've had in a long time, and that's saying something considering some of the crap ones we've had this decade (2011/13/15/16)

Well that was a thing.....

Only decent part of the race was the battle between Ricciardo, Norris, Raikkonen and Hülkenberg. Once Sainz was clear he was gone. Also Gasly needs to go, appalling performance from him yet again and over 60 points down on Verstappen already.

Mercedes juggernaut carries on once more :dread:

Just seen this while browsing the F1 reddit (where I look for most of my F1 news these days as I find the majority of sites pretty poor or they now need a subscription), just shows how dominant Mercedes have been since the introduction of the 1.6 V6 hybrid engines, not that anyone here needs any reminding of course

Great racing in that Indycar and Audi R8 battle in the 24hr Nurburgring, I also can’t remember if Peter Dumbreck gets a mention in Mark Webber’s book or not, both of their crashes could have ended so differently for them, definitely got lucky.

There's quite a bit written about that Le Mans weekend in the book, it's well worth a read.

I'm pretty sure he did.
