If you don’t think it’s real then you are part of the problem.

Seriously don't get why people think he is getting a raw deal? Seems to be pretty straightforward penalties to me!

The penalties today were so petty, they reminded me of some of the punishments dished out to Schumi (and others) during 1994 (some of which were very, very dubious).

I don’t know, cars are going to be well up speed by that point in the pit lane and they’re not meant to leave it till the predetermined point on the track, obviously where Hamilton did his practice start in the wrong area of the lane wasn’t dangerous in hindsight it could easily have been had there been numerous cars exiting at the same time as he would have been hidden from their sight. So while Hamilton could have avoided the penalties in hindsight, it’s also there to serve as a warning to other drivers for not doing similar starts in the future.

Fair enough he’s had his 2 points removed as the team was equally at fault for saying he could do a practice start there but the penalties in race were fair enough in my opinion.

Verstappen apparently did the same thing Hamilton got penalised for in second practice.

The penalty points have now been revoked and Mercedes fined.

I have seen on Twitter people saying F1 is now racist and they will stop following F1 when Lewis retires and that he only get the penalties is cause he is the only black driver in F1 :fp: :fp:

Good I wish Max was in the other Mercedes so Hamilton would have a proper fight on his hands. We really took Rosberg for granted in that respect.

Bombshell announcement - Honda are leaving F1 after next season!!!

I'll call it now, Hamilton to retire or return to Mclaren, Max to Mercedes.

Absolutely crazy for Honda to quit just as it looks like they might get their turn at the top. What a complete waste of money. It turns Mclaren's decision on its head to ditch them for Renault and now Merc, what a smart decision now in hindsight!

Honda could be out of the sport for quite sometime now unless they U Turn. No big team is going to want to risk jumping in bed with them after what happened to the Honda F1 team and now this.

Surely Mercedes to swoop in for max for next year and boot Bottas out.

This is a pretty serious problem for Red Bull, as the long and drawn out divorce from Renault left a lot of bad taste, and if Merc or Ferrari are unwilling to supply them, then they're up gooseberry fool creek without a paddle.

Why would they be unwilling to supply them?

Is it a competitor thing or is it something more?

Definately a shame to see Honda pull the plug after seeing all their efforts finally bear fruit with the redbull alpha tauri partnership but it is what it is and so for Netflix theyll have a great episode where Horner has to eat humble pie when Renault bail them out with engines again :shifty:
