The 2020 12 Hours Of Sebring which was the double header weekend with WEC IMSA has cancelled their race too and its now the IMSA's season finale now not petit Le Mans
https://www.imsa.com/news/2020/03/12/im ... 1-14-2020/The International Motor Sports Association (IMSA) announced today that the 68th Mobil 1 Twelve Hours of Sebring Presented by Advance Auto Parts scheduled for March 18-21 has been postponed due to the recent United States ban on travel from Europe, which will prevent a number of drivers, teams and key personnel from participation.
The rescheduled race will now become the season-ending event of the 2020 IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship and will be run Nov. 11-14 at Sebring International Raceway. The weekend will also feature the rescheduled IMSA Michelin Pilot Challenge – Alan Jay Automotive Network 120 and the IMSA Prototype Challenge season-ending races.
The annual WeatherTech Night of Champions awards banquet will take place on Nov. 15 at the Seven Sebring Raceway Hotel. In addition, the season-ending Championship Awards for both the IMSA Michelin Pilot Challenge and IMSA Prototype Challenge will be held in conjunction with the Sebring race event weekend.
Previously purchased 2020 admission tickets and parking will be honored at the above rescheduled Sebring International Raceway event.

3 hours till track action is meant to start and still no confirmation, just rumours. Rumours that 2 drivers have flown home and teams are ready to pack up.

I’ve seen another tweet saying that Ferrari, Mercedes and Renault aren’t present currently. How they’re incapable of making a decision is beyond me.

It was bad enough what happened in 2005 with the Indy farce but in this day and age with Twitter what they are doing fans are pissed off by the main gates this will seriously damage F1 more then 2005 its looking like that seeing all the negativity.

crazy that 3 teams were willing too race it would of been Indy 2005 v2. But in this current social media era it would of been more of a disaster it happening in that regard

Would make sense, wouldn’t be any chance that they could run all the cancelled races in the remaining time though. Wonder how this would impact the 2021 reg change though, pushed back to 2022 or would we basically see more development on their current 2020 cars with very little upgrades once they do get running to still get the 2021 cars on track next year?
