I’ve seen that this morning as well, saw a week or two back that Sainz is apparently one of the front runners for the seat alongside Leclerc but I imagine a lot of drivers on the grid would jump at the chance to go to Ferrari, probably only Bottas and Hamilton who wouldn’t in my opinion considering the dominance Mercedes have shown since 2014.

Wonder if Vettel will try and find a seat for 2021 or just call it a day.

I just wouldn't take Vettel. He's expensive and there are other fast drivers. I'd see a Renault seat for a Riccardo swap, so he can have no1 status. Can't see McLaren doing it following Alonso and Honda. Where is left, Racing Point? Old Merc cars. Haas? Old ferrari cars.

Ferrari, I can see them taking Ric, Sainz or longshot Alonso. If they can unseat Max then RB may take Vettel back because they are out of internal talent (in their eyes, I think Gasly got undermind there).

Damn, I wonder where he will end up. Straight swap for Bottas? Merc could learn some juicy Ferrari secrets. Swap for Hamilton? Alonso to come out of retirement?

Most likely would be Ricciardo I'd say, or maybe Sainz.

As gutted as I’d be it wouldn’t surprise me if he left at the end of the year, but then again an accompanying statement may have been released alongside saying that was the case so he’s probably at least talking to other teams, probably at least McLaren. If Ferrari tempt Max then Vettel probably has a shot of getting back in a Red Bull. All just big what’s and ifs of who Ferrari tempt away.

As tasty as seeing Hamilton and Vettel as teammates would be I don’t see them going for it, gods that’d be a insane intra-team battle if it happened though, 10 WDC titles in one team.

I think Bottas is managed by Toto, so unless he wants to shuffle him over to Ferrari and move Ocon in (for two paydays as he manages him too) then maybe. Awkward for Bottas to ask his manager for a Ferrari move though, but I think he would consider the move himself.

I think the starting gun on silly season has been fired though!

Were I Hamilton I wouldn't want to move to Ferrari before at least equalizing Schumacher's championship record at Mercedes. Ferrari is a complete risk for him.

The dream team would be Max and Charles leading the charge for the new generation of stars taking on the might of lewis and Mercedes

If I were in Hamilton’s position I just wouldn’t move on full stop, Ferrari have showed relatively little over the last decade of being a decent team to move to in terms of consistent WDC/WCC cars, I can see why many drivers do dream of driving in red but with Hamilton’s position it’s a huge risk.

That would be fireworks, be amazing to see though! If that happened it’d be great to see Vettel at Mercedes, the outgoing/slightly older (although both have plenty of years left in them if they wish) top drivers fighting off against the new (potentially) generational talents in LecLerc and Verstappen. Can’t see it happening though :(

Rumours are that Sainz will be confirmed as a Ferrari driver for 2021 in the next 48 hours.

Just as I was getting used to him at McLaren. Still, if it happens it will be great to see Sainz driving for a top 3 team after being passed over at Red Bull.

I’d definitely like to see him at a top team, Red Bull were fools to let him go in my opinion, McLaren have the funds to be a top team mind and they do seem to be moving slowly in the right direction over the past year.
