This. I'm looking forward to seeing what Russell can do in a good car

Mercedes really do need to take him into the works team once his Williams contract is up at the end of next year.

I hope they do. Simply no excuse with the cyclical nature of F1 why the other teams are so far off Mercedes at this stage of their dominant era. The other teams need to be forced to catch up at some point rather than just waiting for the next lot of rule changes.

They made that mistake after the Ferrari era, shook up the rules and it led to a Red Bull era. Then they shook up the rules again and Mercedes took over

It’s actually quite embarrassing how Ferrari and Red Bull have dropped further off the pace, don’t get me wrong it’s a bit crap knowing that on a standard weekend, barring any reliability issues that Mercedes will most likely win the race, likely a 1-2 finish as well with the fastest lap, still they fully deserve it, they just work harder than the other teams, utilise their budget better than other teams and still continue to push rather than resting on their advantage.

Good race in F2 right now as well, Lundgaard just pulled off a great move on Schumacher round the outside of Luffield.

Edit, Schumacher not ‘as human’ :fp:

5-place grid drop and 3 penalty points for Russell.

Not surprising if they could tell he didn’t slow enough, enforcing the yellow flags seems to be one of the things they’re quite consistent on these days.

Typical Hulkenberg luck  car won’t start, will be trying to start from the pit lane if they can.

So strawberry floating depressing. How about make it fun about supporting from home. Just needed a black and white still of some kid dying of cancer at the end to put the miserable bow on the top.

I missed how Grosjean ended up in 5th. Safety car pitstops?

Grosjean didn’t pit, he’s doing a reasonable job considering he hasn’t pitted though.
