It would be nice to root for Vettel again. Haven't done so since he's been at *shudder* Ferrari.

He's signed for Aston Martin, just been announced. That's my dream of Hamilton signing for them for a new challenge over within an hour!

EDIT: Also gonna cost Ferrari a lot of championship points next season I reckon.

EDIT 2: 2021 could be very painful for Ferrari with two former drivers likely in teams very close on performance taking points off them!

I’ll be sporting an Aston Martin avatar from next year then  please please please be British racing green though :datass:

The midfield fight between Aston Martin, Alpine, McLaren should be even tighter next year as well! Really hope Perez gets a seat somewhere, he’s far better than some of the drivers on the grid.

Wonder if it might have some James Bond branding on it as well, obviously Red Bull ran some at Silverstone in 2019 but when people think of Aston Martin they probably think of Bond too.

How about pink with yellow spots?

Good to see that Vettel will be moving from Ferrari. Really hope he'll have better luck at Aston Martin, as it does seem he's been ridiculously held back.

This year he has been for sure, I’m just hoping we’ll see a much more consistent and competitive Vettel in a much better car from next year (unless Ferrari make insane gains in the off season).

Edit, thought I’d switch to Aston Martin already :datass:

I think Vettel's form will improve once he knows he has a team behind him. I think since Leclerc joined Ferrari, Vettel has felt unsettled as it was clear Leclerc was being groomed for the long term future. A similar thing happened at Red Bull when he signed for Ferrari, and Red Bull didn't really give him the support he was used to in his final year with them.

He is a much better driver when he is confident in a team fully behind him. I think he knows he should have the legs on Stroll, and the team won't have the pressure in challenging for championships so he will be more comfortable.

I'm loving the new burgundy-red colour scheme on the Ferraris for their 1000th GP.

I really hope we’ll see Vettel of years gone by back as well, he should be in a very tight midfield fight next year as well which will hopefully get back to his best. We could have Aston Martin, McLaren, Renault all in a fight for 3rd to 5th in the constructors. The arrival of the Mercedes engine in the McLaren and Vettel/Alonso moving teams will probably take more points away from Ferrari next year so they’ll be really hoping they are the 2022 reg change (as will all the teams ).

Does look nice :datass: I really like the black wings with the red bodywork so I’d like them to keep that going forward.

Yeah it does let it down, think it’s meant to be in keeping with the style they would have ran though?

Perez took "taking raikkonens seat at alfa romeo" a little to literal today :fp:

I’m hoping he ends up at one of Haas or Alfa, I’m happy for Vettel of course but Perez does deserve a seat, in fact if I were Haas I’d try and get a reunion of Perez-Hülkenberg as it’d be a huge upgrade over their current line up.

This mugello circuit reminds me a bit of suzuka.

Watching the on boards, I can't see many, if any, overtaking spots. The junior category races have been OK, but I just get the feeling that we may not see much overtaking tomorrow. Hope I'm wrong.
